Pros
Coworkers are great. Work is fun and challenging in a good way. Never the same thing twice.
Cons
Leadership is complacent, extremely close minded and hard headed. Their word is law and God forbid you go against them. Pay is decent for the area but still mid tier. I'm severely underpaid for my experience with no room to grow within the company. Honestly I only work here due to proximity of my house.

Pros
The product quality, performance, and aesthetics are second to none. Harmony is a game change. Company is focused on growth & profitability and backed by a 357 yr old $43b parent company that is executing on all cylinders. Company culture is open, diverse, and transparent. Relationships with the contractor chain is extremely positive unlike the competition. Project wins in airports, Class A office, and major higher-education institutions bode well for the future.
Cons
As with any fast growing company, making the adjustments to move the needle to get to the next level in growth are necessary.

Pros
Truly dedicated, resilient and hard working people; I had fun working with many of them and will remain connected beyond SageGlass. Work / Life Balance. Freedom to lead initiatives and be creative within your space. Career opportunities if you're willing to take on new challenges. The support of a mother ship (Saint-Gobain) that matters in the market. The CEO is doing a great job of striking the balance between short and long term initiatives to make SageGlass a sustainable business. He trusts and empowers his people.
Cons
Cons that can be positive... All the current supply chain, labor and commercial construction challenges exist for SageGlass, making it a very tough business to predict. Despite this, the company has managed to outperform its competitors and continue to win. The business is still going through some growing pains, so if you're looking for a place to simply hide in a crowd, this isn't the place. High performers have a lot of great growth and learning opportunities.

Great company culture. Full of kind, open-minded and hard working people.
Cons
There are so many interesting challenges and things to invent and improve on in this technology that it sometimes feels like we'd need more people to help us achieve our goals quicker. Come join us!

Pros
Great people, exciting technology, culture of ownership, results driven, minimal politics and very little red tape. The people who have been elevated in the recent months are the people who have a genuine understanding for how things actually work and get done. This has resulted in record performance results and collectively lifting the talent bar. For people that are results driven and appreciate success this has been great. For people that have gotten a little too comfortable with mediocrity and the old politics this has been a tough change but over time they are seeing that it is better for everyone's well-being. Also, I can't say enough good things about the new CEO and his leadership. He's a very down to earth, reasonable guy with a keen eye for business. Additionally, he's always been local to the MN area and seems to really understand the people and community that we all live and work in. Finally, the top performers are rewarded in meaningful ways. It's not just recognition in an email or meeting but actually with real monetary rewards. That really does have a sustaining positive impact on people's livelihoods and well-being, making it a very fulfilling place to work.
Cons
Working at Sage can consume you if you let it. There are so many interesting topics and they are paired with the ability for anyone to have a positive impact. This means very driven people need to make sure they do not burn themselves out and constantly evaluate their work/life balance.
SageGlass Response8mo
Thank you so much for your thoughtful feedback! As with any organization, there is always room for improvement and we will continue to work hard!

Pros
There are many good reasons to work @ SageGlass. first it is a very diversified company. You will be able to meet and work with many people from around the world. Your co-workers have amazing talents and are very intelligent and are always accessible to assist you and this includes our CEO & CFO. The benefits of working with SageGlass which is owned by Saint-Gobain, are numerous. The benefits are great, the training they provide you is exceptional and your options for additional education are excellent and the company in the whole cares about it's employees! SageGlass operates under the the best of safety guidelines for it's employees. "Nothing is so important that it can't be done safely". NA employees have been able to purchase Saint-Gobain stock which is a great additional option for its employees. There are many changes in the electrochromic field so it is an exciting time to be here at SageGlass and in this field. SageGlass sends out a survey to it's employees. Questions range from how you like your position, your manager, your work life balance and more and the survey results are confidential. Management reviews the results of the survey and shares the results with their employees. During the review, they will note changes that will be put into place and future changes as well. I honestly don't know any other companies that issue a survey or even care about their employees, the results or would even share the results!
Cons
People will complain about any company that they worked for and the reasons are various. Some reasons could be that they really didn't like their job or possibly they weren't very good at their job and if that is the case, it is much easier to blame the company then themselves. SageGlass is still considered a young company and with any young company, changes happen. Most of these changes are put in place to help the company become more successful and we as employees want our company to be successful.

Pros
The company leadership has recently had turnover. The new leadership team cares about the employees, as well as making a profit. Obviously a newer company has some growing pains, but now it feels like we are operating more like a team overall. The Plant Manager and Operations Director are clearly on the same page, and the future at SageGlass looks extremely bright!
Cons
Really none that stick out currently, as no place of business is essentially perfect for everyone.
SageGlass Response2y
Thank you for your thoughtful review. We agree, we have so much knowledge in our manufacturing team members, we hope that they feel that they are being heard by leadership.
