I worked at Sager Electrical (Less than a year)

    Pros

Sager Electronics is a distributor of electronic components. They have been in Business for over 130 years. Recently bought out by a company owned by Warren Buffet. They make a great deal of money and are extremely good at what they do. Management is a little weak but when they all work together they get the job done. Pay is weak also but the benefits are good. Work environment is calm, not a lot of yelling and screaming....

    Cons

Pay is weak, Sr Management in the sales department is weak. President is the best there is.

    Advice to Management

Hire people that know how to sell and put them in charge of sales. Spreadsheets don't do it

I worked at Sager Electrical full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Nothing don't waste your time find an actual paying job that isn't managed by monkeys.

    Cons

The entire management is a joke and is hilarious that the place makes the money it does. Supervisors are lazy won't help the workforce to complete the tasks at hand they rather sit down and watch youtube videos or read cnn news than help

    Advice to Management

Pay an actual salary and maybe the turn over rate there wouldn't be over 50%

    Pros

Friendly overall work environment. Decent benefits.

    Cons

Management in Accounting is stressed with compliance changes which leads to him being - short fused, toxic, unprofessional, vulgar, and not a team player. Unfortunatley this management style is acceptable, which makes the work enviroment unpleasant!

    Former Employee - Sales

I worked at Sager Electrical full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Great people. Great company to start working for. Easy to learn. Not too stressful but can be at times or when training. Training is minimal and must learn on own by asking questions. Must be able to multitask.

    Cons

The pay is really low, lower than most companies in the industry. Not much room to move up. Upper management are really nice and great people and don't micro manage... but would rather let good employees go instead of giving them raises and then hire new, less experienced people to pay them less. No bonuses. Bad healthcare.

    Advice to Management

Stop letting good people go because you dont want to pay them what others in the industry get. Give raises to people who deserve it and show loyalty and worth in the company. Create some sort of growth in the company or some way to move up and make more money. Get our good healthcare back. Give bonuses.
