    Pros

I can not think of any pros for this company. They are unrealistic in the way they run there business.

    Cons

no training. upper management very aloof, arrogant, and boastful. very poor leadership. always break promises.

I have been working at Sagicor Life Insurance full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Jonathan London was a terrific Career Development Manager during my time as a Career Agent with Sagicor in 2014. Jonathan led a week-long training and orientation session in March 2014 that I was invited to join before I had obtained my state license.

In my 15+ years in corporate America, Sagicor led the most impressive training and orientation that I had experienced to that point in my career. Jonathan exhibited commendable leadership and training skills, and served as a mentor during my initial consultative sales appointments with prospects.

    Cons

The commission-only pay structure is difficult. Unless you have a year of salary saved up before starting, I do not recommend traveling this path.

    Advice to Management

Recognize young talent when you see it enter your door. Initiate a base + commission structure for at minimum 6 months to enable your agents to develop a sustainable book of business.

I have been working at Sagicor Life Insurance full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    - Comprehensive virtual, classroom and field training upon hire.
    - Great company culture with managers with 20+ years of experience
    - Marketing ideas are encouraged from agents
    - Company focus on community involvement, strives to being a face in the community opposed to just a voice on the phone
    - Career advancement with growing company
    - Upper management shows interest (CFO attends new agent orientation)

    Cons

Commission only (you get paid for how hard you work)

    Advice to Management

Hire younger agents that will adapt to newer technologies and bring creative new ideas to the company

I have been working at Sagicor Life Insurance full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

They have o.k. products, their No Lapse UL is probably one of the best you will find out there, based on cost.
The only reason I gave them a star was because the company it self is not bad.

    Cons

ZERO Training. They give you a cheap business lead list to call, and tell you to talk to more people.

    Advice to Management

Hire managers that have trained agents before and managers that have truly been successful themselves. The two guys in the Plantation office, who are supposed to be the managers, don't produce, so how can they possibly help any other agents to be successful. DO NOT HIRE NEW AGENTS IF YOU HAVE NO TRAINING IN PLACE FOR THEM, IT IS A WASTE OF TIME FOR THE NEW AGENT AND A WASTE OF COMPANY MONEY!!

    No opinion of CEO

    Pros

Managers are understanding, encouraging, and knowledgeable. Majority of employees are genuinely nice people. Community involvement is widely encouraged. New ideas are encouraged.

    Cons

Vacation plus sick time rather than PTO. Only one genuinely rude person in the office. Lack of communication between committees, but that is being worked on.

    Advice to Management

Rudeness does not equal effective leadership. Liaisons between committees and employees affected by committee decisions can/should be improved. Marketing research needs a lot more emphasis.

    Disapproves of CEO

    Pros

Balance of work and life, location, hours of operation, not much need of overtime, dual monitors, fancy office, bonuses. Average.

    Cons

You are just a puppet there, no body cares about quality of work, customer service, being helpful or anything that helps a company grow. It is about who you know and not about what you know. There is no room for advancement, only four people to help agents, agents that want to sell their products but yet there is no one there to help them. Community Service is only done with the Arizona Sports teams so that everybody has a chance of getting an autograph. If you are one who likes to be scolded or has no concept of thinking for themselves, this would be a fantastic place to be.

    Advice to Management

Focus on growing the company and not about the most current "technology" that has nothing to do with servicing agents and customers. Stop treating the real bread and butter of the company like they do not exist, encourage aknowledgment of others work and not just the favorites. Start over with a clean slate.
