Wow! 30 years is impressive and we appreciate all the hardwork and dedication you have contributed to make this company successful. Thank you for submitting your review of Saia. Over the past decade we've invested nearly $1 billion in equipment and facilities, plus added five states and 26 terminals to our expanding network.

      Pros

      Pay and benefits are good.

      Cons

Some managers have Napoleon syndrome and like to act like kids if you stand up for yourself.

      Pros

Good pay Good benefits Easy but high paced shifts

      Cons

Upper management doesn’t communicate well. Employees are not held to policies and are not disciplined. Limited amount of management during shifts causes late schedules and rough communication. Bad equipment and outdated technology. Horrible work life balance.

      Pros

Excellent salaries for managers and good benefits

      Cons

Trucking industry mentality and the core management team is a Good Old Boys Club. Prima-donas that do not believe in feedback from one level below.

      I can't recommend this place.

      Pros

I'll put it bluntly, there IS a reason why this company pays so well, and has good benefits: the reason is, because everything else, sucks. Leads and supervisor were nice.

      Cons

While the company pays decent and has a great benefits package, it has virtually no respect for employees personal needs. Overtime is mandatory, and there is no work/life balance whatsoever because work monopolizes it all. If you work in the billing department, be prepared to do 10 hours every single night for months on end. Also, it is extremely difficult to get days off - you often can't get them off even if you request them 6 months in advance. But more importantly, this place has the typical Machiavellian office politics of favoritism, gossip, co-worker backstabbing, garbage management, low employee morale, etc etc. And the problem doesn't just stem from lower level or office management, but HR itself is just as unethical and corrupt - they do highly biased and unfair investigations to any problem that may arise and fire people without warning even if they have had no prior disciplinary action - they will always take the side of the person who brownnoses the company the most. It is all done based on heresay and nothing else.

      Pros

Pay is good! Benefits are great! Management works well with employees. There is a lot of room to move up in the company if you are willing to move

      Cons

There are really no cons that I can think about. As any company they do try to do more with less which can be challenging when trying to maintain customers

      Pros

Good pay, good benefits. If you stick around long enough, you will get an assigned run. Weekly pay. 401k 50 percent match up to 6 percent.

      Cons

Be prepared to work very long hours, have very little home time, you are just a number, management does not and will not have your back, they are too busy looking over their own shoulder. They have zero loyalty to long time employees, and they play favorites. I would look into working anywhere but here unless you are Out of options. Most of the guys I know that are still there hate it, but feel trapped do to pay and a daytime Linehaul run. They are also installing cameras inside the cab to watch what the driver is doing.
