      I worked at Sailthru full-time

      Pros

      Office perks are pretty great.

      Cons

You'll work with people who think that if you don't like it here, you're ridiculous and don't belong here. Well, there's a grain of truth to that, but do you really want to work with people with that attitude? Too many cheerleaders who don't do work. People leave in droves, and you'll get some vague email about departures. Too many meetings. Booze till you snooze. After hours social-fests, when not everyone wants...

I have been working at Sailthru full-time

      Pros

Flexible Work from Home, good benefits, some glitz associated with the NY office.

      Cons

Cons- the company was hot a couple of years ago, when the promise of the company was producing a 1 to 1 experience across channels. Since the product outages last year, the company has retreated out of onsite and mobile, and now really only offers email marketing. Sales have since declined drastically, and with the shrinking pie comes the heady politics and a culture that is dominated by CYA. There is no nimbleness, and...

      Advice to Management

Reduce the amount of absurd processes needed to do anything. Think about hiring managers with real startup experience. Give employees actual equity, instead of the pitiful amounts given now. Make an effort to be a real contributor, instead of a politician. And produce products that are market driven.

I worked at Sailthru full-time for more than a year

      Pros

Open environment where you can implement and engineer as you please. Peers willing to share and learn for growth.

      Cons

Management in the middle is over worked and unable to see below or above their range and promoting blindly. Very grim outlook at some promotions or team structures.

      Advice to Management

Stop shuffling its time to change the decks.

      I worked at Sailthru

      Pros

Nice office with a young friendly environment, that encourages one to work extra hard. Aggressive growth across North America and the EMEA market.

      Cons

Burning through VC money without sustainable growth, or any real strategy. The product has a lot of gaps, and the engineering team experiences a very high turn-over which leads to poor written code with LOTS of patches.

      Advice to Management

The company has a lot of potential and the team member are really top caliber. I'd recommend focusing more effort on hiring top management and less reliance on the People Team which has led to a significant increase in turn-over.

I have been working at Sailthru full-time for more than a year

      Pros

      - Coworkers are intelligent and grounded. - Everyone here is unusually attractive. - Company culture is definitely its winning trait. - Our executive/management teams are compassionate and very easy to talk to. - We have a powerful product that can change the entire marketing game. - Compensation is more than fair. I agree with all the pros other reviewers have listed, so let's move on to the cons.

      Cons

The negative reviews do not surprise me in the least. These were published at a time during our company's growth where we were experiencing massive change at all levels throughout the organization. No one was denying it. Morale was low; I too felt the pain of uncertainty and spruced up my LinkedIn profile just in case I needed an exit plan. However, what kept me put was the faith I had in our management who had the integrity...

      Advice to Management

Our culture is what makes us successful so please do everything you can to keep it alive. Our company has tripled since I joined and I can tell it's becoming more difficult to preserve company culture. Also, please strongly consider doing away with the open office setup or at the very least put up some dividers because the current design is not effective. The noise, interruptions, and distractions are draining our productivity....

      Pros

      - Great balance of autonomy and guidance - Execs truly care about employees - Smart, smart, smart and passionate people - Interesting work - A completely differentiated product which is a true pleasure to work on as a B2B marketer - Dynamic environment - Flexibility in schedules

      Cons

The ridiculous reviews left by other people. I laughed when reading some of them and could not disagree more. If someone has a negative perception of this company or of the management, it's because they just probably were not suited to work here. Sailthru is growing fast and requires its employees to keep up and adapt. I am not sure that would require a negative review. Having worked at large Fortune 500 companies, and...

      Pros

+ Good benefits and snacks + Work remotely + Open work space + Some very smart coworkers

      Cons

      - Favoritism occurs - Culture can be immature - Some incompetent managers - Lack of processes and organization

      Advice to Management

Weed out incompetent managers and tighten up the culture. These are holding back Sailthru from being a "great" company to work for.

I have been working at Sailthru full-time

      Pros

Culture - The one thing that blew me away the day I started was how smart everyone here is while not being conceited about it. Every person is approachable and anytime the execs speak you feel like they truly are an authority in what they are covering. Most importantly for a young guy like me, it's always easy to find a few colleagues to grab a drink with after work and find out more about what they're doing. Product/Vision...

      Cons

Career Path - My current role has never had someone move up to the next position up in the sales organization. This isn't completely irrational - the role has been only around a little more than a year and there is a plan to do so in the future - but right now that is just talk. At the end of the day, any salesperson knows that action and precedent is what counts and that is what has me anxious.

      Advice to Management

Make that promotion. Using a lesser role to assess for sales ability and culture fit along with a promotion to gain loyalty seems like a sound long-term strategy.
