I worked at Saint Anselm College full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

The college values stability, so if you like to work at a place for a long time you'll do well here. Colleges have a "rhythm" to their year too, and Saint Anselm's no different. It's fairly easy to get to know people beyond your own department. The amount of Holiday/vacation time is good, plus the college closes early on summer Fridays. They have a few nice social events each year for employees.

    Cons

No one's getting rich working there!

    Advice to Management

Can't think of anything highly specific right now. By the way Glassdoor, Father Jonathan is no longer the College President. That's Steven R. DiSalvo in September 2017 (referring to "CEO" rating area below).

I worked at Saint Anselm College (More than a year)

    Pros

Great opportunity for current students. Every job there knows you're a student first, employee second. Works well for athletes too.

    Cons

Things can become very slow on campus.

I have been working at Saint Anselm College full-time

    Pros

Small private colleges tend to have close relationships with coworkers. The campus is beautiful and the benefits are pretty good.

    Cons

It is easy to feel left out if you don't go out of your way to connect with your colleagues. The pay is also low for working in higher education.

    Advice to Management

Create opportunities for new staff to meet existing staff and to connect with different areas of the campus. Higher education tends to create bubbles within departments that are hard to pop.

I worked at Saint Anselm College part-time

    Pros

Beautiful campus, students are really smart kids. The faculty are very nice. Grounds crews and facilities are all well maintained.

    Cons

The administration are very stuck in the old ways, not open almost at all to any fresh or new ideas that would change the school for the better.
