    I enjoy the teaching atmosphere and feel everyone tries to give their best to patients

    Cons

    Always short staffed for nursing units

    Advice to Management

    Lower nurse-patient ratios and you will have higher patient satisfaction, less adverse events (falls), happier staff, less sick calls = less overtime.

    Lots of workplace bullying and favoritism among management.

    Nursing administration leaves a lot to be desired; feel unappreciated and disrespected by them

    Pros

    There is nothing quite as rewarding as helping others. Working with the patients was often a delight.

    Cons

    Management in outpatient surgery needs improvement. More respect, support, and appreciation between staff members and less gossip.

    Advice to Management

    Listen to your employee's needs. Give employees the room to grow and not feel micromanaged. Give your employees more praise and sincere appreciation for what they do to support the team.

    Great Manager and co-workers. Enjoy working on different Units with the Managers.

    Cons

    Long commute. Not a lot of accountability because there need to be more and clearer workflow policies in place.
