I have been working at Saint Francis Medical Center full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Expect renewed increase in patient care. State of the art facilities with expanding opportunities. Rural area coverage which will allow services within smaller populated communities.

    Cons

History of operating too lean in areas of direct patient care.

    Advice to Management

Decrease the rate of patient/staff ratio in order to provide optimum patient care. Allow staff to feel appreciated. Understand that not every position should operate off of numbers.
Reinstate patient advocates to work along side the professional staff. This would allow for improved patient communication and expedite patient needs and requests without affecting immediate care of other patients.
