    Very Disappointed

Oct 3, 2019 - Anonymous Employee in New Brunswick, NJ
    Recommend
    CEO Approval
    Business Outlook

    Pros

    - Nice area of the city to work in - Clean and Safe work environment - Free parking for employees - Salary was reasonable

    Cons

    - HR and upper management do not have clear guidelines/policies in place to prevent ALL types of harassment, bullying, and intimidation within the workplace - Hospital politics cripple and prevent certain departments (specifically the department of surgery) within the organization from firing those people in "management" who are unfit, unqualified, and uneducated to perform basic job duties or be a professional team leader - Unprofessional, hostile, and intimidating work environments have lead to very low morale and high turnover rates within the department of Surgery (I am the second residency program coordinator to leave that position within less then a year) . There is a constant sense of anxiety and fear that the work you are performing isn't "good enough" - For anybody who's looking to advance within the healthcare administration field, there are no real opportunities for professional growth because certain departments do not have the right leaders to assist with this - Micromanagement will inevitably prevent you from being able to perform the job you were qualified to be hired for - No type of structured training programs for new employees (in the department of surgery) due to the office coordinator/managers lack of knowledge/qualifications

    Great staff--terrible leadership

    May 17, 2020 - Clinician
    Recommend
    CEO Approval
    Business Outlook

    Pros

Staff is great. Supportive. Great teamwork

    Cons

Leadership makes decisions based upon making the hospital attractive to a potential buyer. This means that positions are eliminated, staffing is reduced, salaries are cut. This makes for a very hostile work environment and devastates employee morale and staff satisfaction
