I worked at Saks Fifth Avenue OFF 5TH part-time for more than a year

    Pros

Flexible schedule - only for students

    Cons

Supervisors are control freaks and they laugh at customers behind their backs. My store manager was the only person who was genuinely nice to everyone. I'm pretty sure the company steals your wage and doesn't pay for the actual hours you've worked.

I worked at Saks Fifth Avenue OFF 5TH

    Pros

Weekly paycheck, employee discount (with employee credit card), seeing high designer brands at great discounts, being able to use discount at full line Saks Fifth Avenue. Department managers were great.

    Cons

In my former store it was favoritism: I had been there as a temp/seasonal and worked hard and was flexible to cover shifts and cover multiple departments when needed, so when it can time to fill a FT position, I was overlooked and position was given to another associate who previously had worked with the store manager at another company. - A lack of competent associates who could care less about store standards and customer service. - No room for development (at ANY level really) - Entitled customers who don’t realize it’s NOT full line /full price store; expecting amenities and services that don’t exist at the outlet level.
