I worked at Saks Fifth Avenue full-time for more than a year

    Pros

The employee discounts, free clothes from vendors, pk trainings...

    Cons

Unprofessional, Gossip, Shady behavior from managers, customer service sucks and direct clients to the wrong departments making clients even more frustrated, business is slow, Commission vs Draw is like a scam its not worth the amount of hours you put in depending on the department, turnover rate is ridiculous people are in an out all the time, employees are rude to each other and steal sells, treated majority of black shoppers as if they were scammers

I worked at Saks Fifth Avenue full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Employee discount was nice but that is always changing

    Cons

Long hours, terrible pay with no raises ever no exceptions (that’s a rule), cattiness between employees, dated technology that barely works, upper management does not care about you... in fact no one cares about you, they want you to do a lot of work for no compensation, terrible work schedule including weekends and holidays, managers are rude and stupid

I have been working at Saks Fifth Avenue full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Employee discount if you can afford it.

    Cons

Its nearly impossible to make your commission requirements at this location. Business is inconsistent. You don't make as much money as you might expect with it being Saks

I have been working at Saks Fifth Avenue full-time for less than a year

    Pros

The employee discount is very generous compared to other retailers.

    Cons

Where do I start? This is probably the worst company I’ve ever worked for. They flood the floor in hopes to gain more sales but don’t give employees a chance to actually make a living.

    StarStarStarStarStar
Former Employee - Style Advisor in Richmond, VA

I worked at Saks Fifth Avenue part-time for less than a year

    Pros

the employee discount is so good. 40% off of everything and sometimes 70%off of special things

    Cons

the dress code is SO confusing and misleading and frustrating. this store is always so empty there were days I never saw 1 customer come inside. The management is absolutely terrible, rude, and inconsiderate. Barely any in-person training, nobody tells you what to do or where to go.
