A small company where your contribution can really make a difference. If you see a need to spend money on software or an outsourced technical project, management are normally supportive.
The company may have over-committed itself, with its deep water acreage.
They are now losing a lot of senior technical staff. Historically, senior management have recruited people they know personally. With growth, this has become difficult, and a few mistakes have been made with hiring.
Salaries are becoming uncompetitive, with reliance on the employee share option scheme to form a larger part of the annual bonus. With the share price stagnant or declining, this is of dubious value.
