Walk Away from Salem National Lease
Mar 3, 2016 - Anonymous EmployeeRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
I can not provide any feedback that would be considered a Pro. Even if you only had experience slinging burgers at McDonalds 1 week at Salem will send up red flags.
Cons
Outdated, unprofessional, poor work model. Low pay for the rediculous schedule and lack of coverage. No management support. Medical benefits are an embarrassment, you will need a 2nd job just to afford medical or will have to go through Obama Care. People were fired and demoted left and right, no exaggeration, office staff do not have so much as basic spelling skills never mind any type of professional appearance, behaviour or work ethic. Staff speak to their customers like they do their employees.. like garbage, low class employees that steal company time and supplies, come and go as they please. Corporate Office HR dept and staff are equally outdated, have a grandfathered mentality, and are undertrained compared to basic business standards.

Pros
-If you do a good job, you won't be bothered. -Well maintained equipment. -Friendly staff for the most part -Decent benefits -Drivers get paid good. -Administrative/secretaries are very helpful.
Cons
-Don't ever do 1 thing bad, you will get fired. You can do a million things right, but just 1 bad and you become the red-headed step child. -Don't expect a raise often, not even standard of living raise. You have to beg to get pennies. owner seems a little greedy. -Loyalty, punctuality, knowledge of work & good attendance all never really get noticed. -Too many family-related members working at company. They feel they can do whatever they please and their d**k is bigger.

Not a Good Experience for Me
Aug 31, 2015 - Anonymous Employee in Winston-Salem, NCRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
I can' t really think of any - I guess the fact that it's employment, but everyone there is so stressed out - everyone is on nerve pills.
Cons
Some members of management are rude micro-managers and keep everyone under his or her thumb. If you make a mistake, no matter how big or small, you will get a nasty email. Several people have quit because of it.

You have to be in the in crowd
Jan 7, 2019 - Dispatch Coordinator in Greenville, SCRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Pay is good and they work with you if you have something that comes up.
Cons
No room for advancement, if your not in the click, your not getting a promotion it doesn't matter how much experience you have over the person
- Current Employee, less than 1 year★★★★★
Pros
Building cleanliness, shop safety and working perimeters are a few of their stronger qualities.
Cons
Management and business structure is very unorganized and demanding. The pay scale in under market value for qualified individuals.
