    Pros

Customer Service can be what you make of it, Sales Edge is a fun company to work for with a good office staff thats easy to get along with.

    Cons

Requires a lot of over night travel, long hours driving back and forth to different locations. if you dont have to be at home each and every night it can be quite the adventure.

I worked at Sales Edge of Virginia full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Offers a very flexible schedule which is very nice
Salary is competitive, however, you do NOT get paid mileage and you will be driving a lot.

    Cons

    Oh, where to begin...

    - Was supposed to be offered 5 days of training, which was immediately reduced to 3
    - During that time, the person training me was often not around or on the phone constantly.
    - On the third day we were supposed to meet at 8:30am. He suddenly became unavailable until 1:00pm, and even then I had to travel 30 mins from the store I was at to meet him. Time that you do not get paid for.
    - The company is very disliked by Lowe's store employees for various reasons. The main one being that the sales reps continue to quit. In my region, I was the 5th rep in 6 months.

    Advice to Management

Ensure that your reps are sufficiently trained.
Don't seek out people with a sales background. Sales is not a big part of this job. You need people with a millwork and/or contractor background if you're not going to train someone prior to sending them on their own.

I worked at Sales Edge of Virginia full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

The only pro I can think of is flexible hours

    Cons

    Pay decrease, no career advancment

    Advice to Management

Management needs to get a backbone to support their merchandiser when an issue arises with a customer.

    Pros

We received a competitive wage really for what the job was. I was definitely independant and didn't really get any grief from the employer,

    Cons

I never knew where I stood with the employer. It always seemed like the company was about to go out of business.

    Advice to Management

I think that the upper management should make it a point to introduce themselves to every employee to really make it feel like they care about the employees.
