I worked at Salesforce full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Fantastic company good introduction into the world of SaaS selling. Thier are so many pros working for Salesforce, for example, the offices in Heron Tower are breathtaking - will inspire anyone. The quarterly Town Halls are great to keep everyone geed up and in the know. Great insight into some of the top businesses in the world and you get to speak with and learn from some of the best in the industry.

    Cons

Management or lack of Management. Misunderstanding in selling solutions - so many solutions when faced with a customer can become confusing to the customer what exactly they are speaking to SF.com about. Is it a CRM, Marketing Platform, Lead gen, Web Personalisation, Ad platform, Services?? I feel the AE's are sometimes spread to thin with so much to offer.

    Advice to Management

I would have stayed at Salesforce.com until now if I wasn't working under one of the worst Managers in my career - I believe this was bad luck more than a normal practice at Salesforce. I would highly recommend focusing on leaders with morals and character, then simply bottom line and numbers achieved.

I worked at Salesforce full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Free fruit free coffee free chocolate.
You learn many technical skills and good company to have on CV

    Cons

8 cases per day unmanageable. Exhausted to such an extent you have no energy to even go out on the weekends.
Salesforce is all work and more work unrealistic figures made up on the fly.
It is pure exploitation and I resigned for the simple reason it took a toll on my health. You can't keep up this pace with out screwing your health.

It's a good name to have on your CV stay a year and leave if you care about your well being.

    Advice to Management

Before you come up with unrealistic targets try and proof yourself you can do it.

Great culture, products, colleagues and a very welcoming environment. The London office is also in an amazing location.

    Cons

Commute is a bit tough and there is an extreme amount of information to process in the beginning, but they do it in a very methodical way.

    Advice to Management

Don't lose your culture or your mojo when growing so fast. Set realistic expectations and live by them.

    Pros

    Working with top talent
    Great product
Great vision and roadmap - ahead of innovation curve
    Great executive leadership
    Fun, vibrant, energetic culture
    Decent staff benefits

    Cons

Challenging sales environment - 1 in 5 hit target
Limited career growth / progression for those early in their career
Many resources diverted to handful of big global accounts

    Advice to Management

More support for sales teams not covering the big global accounts - and help (coaching) to gain access to the board/CEO in the T2 accounts. Need to rethink around nurturing younger talent

The Ohana culture is pervasive throughout the organisation and makes Salesforce a really enjoyable place to work.
The excitement and buzz around the products both internally and from customers is fantastic.
Opportunities for career progression in the longer term.
    Focus on customer success.
Great innovative products which customers seem to love.
1:1:1 model offers the chance to do some valuable work and give something back
    Inspirational CEO

I have been working at Salesforce full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Fantastic culture - The whole idea of being more than just a money machine is baked into the company's DNA.
Great people - So far I have not encountered any internal politics, or come across anyone that wasn't keen to help.
Customer focus - It's great to have customers that love the product and this comes from the company's focus on their customers.
Technology - The products work, as does the platform. And it's not for nothing Salesforce is Forbes' most innovative company of the decade.
Employees are valued - Lots of companies say they value their employees, but I've never felt it the same way i have at Salesforce.

    Cons

Hard to think of any. It would be nice for the team to get together more as we're all working on different projects, but that's about it.

    Advice to Management

    Keep doing great things

I have been working at Salesforce full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Vision of the company is bold but not unrealistic, culture is fast-paced and exciting, opportunities within are vast. huge focus on social innovation, training is clear, onboarding is comprehensive

    Cons

The fast-paced nature will not be for everyone. I find myself doing Trailhead courses randomly on a weekend and evening. Partly because of how well structured it is and how fun some of them are to complete but mostly because I want to excel in my role

    Advice to Management

Continue to take advice and experience from all involved in driving Salesforce forward. Too many corporates loose focus after a sustained period of growth. Salesforce the way it is, is the right way forward
