    Pros

great working environment, excellent colleagues, intelligent and thoughtful leadership from the president to hourly staff, nice location in a small, quiet town 20 minutes from the Atlantic

occasional town and gown conflicts, yet easily resolved; some attitudes about social issues are rather archaic on the part of locals

I have been working at Salisbury University full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Nice atmosphere to work in, many benefits like tuition, healthclub, etc.

    Cons

Too much bureaucracy. Administration does not stay long enough to make true change happen. Decisions are always in limbo and no movement is evident.

    Advice to Management

Attempt to keep upper management and choose to make final decisions. The indecision here is crippling.

I worked at Salisbury University part-time

    Pros

Working while attending school at Salisbury is a very rewarding experience because you get to see the staff and faculty as colleagues while they are still your professors. They coordinate the time around your school schedule and understand the importance of your school work.

    Cons

It can be boring at times, not that much to do.

    Pros

Paid for school, with a little extra money for part-time work.

Difficult to work extra jobs with the hours required, and the pay was not enough to not have to work extra jobs.

I worked at Salisbury University full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

State benefits, which are very good. Received state cost of living increases. Was proud to work there - Salisbury University has received many accolades. My position in Human Resources allowed me to have contact with all departments on campus.

    Cons

Worked as an Administrative Assistant in Human Resources. HR office could be stressful. Many phone and walk-ins. Had to deal with difficult situations at times. Also dealing with faculty, who are well - different. But working for the University as a whole was a positive experience.
