    Pros

Flexible fun lost of education on products and customer service.

    Cons

Not alot of hours so if you need more than part time it's not for you but it's such a fun place to work.

    Pros

Great atmosphere, great coworkers AND management, great training, great benefits, great perks, awesome opportunities for advancement! Overall....just great!

    Cons

Computer systems could be better...that's also the main customer complaint I hear. Also, my particular store is SMALL and we would like a bigger facility ASAP. =)

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you're doing! You rock!!

I have been working at SalonCentric part-time

    Pros

Lots of great benefits like commission and monthly sales contests where you can win money and even trips. Awesome coworkers. Good hours. Opportunities to advance. Free products and samples. Great starting pay. Adequate training.

    Cons

Working alone for long shifts. Corporate often sets unrealistic sales goals and pushes you hard to meet them. Have to make lots of phone calls to tell customers about sales.

    Pros

laid back, get to have that one-on-one experience with customers. Discount is awesome!!

    Cons

computer systems are CRAP!!! and planograms could be way better. there is always so much to do.

    Advice to Management

Update systems so that we do not have to wait 5 minutes for someones total. Plan o grams or any marketing should have the sky with the product on the picture, not just a picture where it is shrunk so small you can't even see what it is.

I worked at SalonCentric full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

It is a pleasure to help stylists grow their business, great discount and plenty of product knowledge training. We are greatly appreciated by our customers.

    Cons

Unfortunately in this company is not a pleasure to work for. It is extremely political, if you are not willing to give up your ethics you will not move up in this company. There is very little room to grow and exceptionally high turnover. The pay is nowhere near in line with the position requirements. The work load can range from boredom to overwhelming, and everything is a crisis. They require phone calls to the customers for every sale even when you just called them days before. They push you to have a work related social media account but will not pay you to maintain it. There is a lot of working off the clock.

    Advice to Management

Take the company surveys more seriously, there is a reason the turnover in all positions is much higher than most other companies. Take the politics out of the business.

I worked at SalonCentric full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Sundays off, free products and education, not open late

    Cons

Demands far exceed time during day, no longer promotes within, completely ignores the hard working, sacrifice making, employees who go above and beyond expectations. Upper management is fine with letting good employees walk out the door, leaving, at best, 2 employees to cover the store 6 days a week

    Advice to Management

Quit hiring employees from companies that are clearly in bankruptcy, especially in South Region 6, look to your hardworking employees and promote them. It’s time to rethink the ‘labor model’ and allow for dual coverage in the store at ALL times, not only will it be safer, but sales would dramatically increase!

    Cons

The job takes over your life. No 9-5, it is a full life job, always online

    Advice to Management

I have been working at SalonCentric full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Paid time off on all major Holidays. No late nights (the latest I've ever had to work was 7:30 PM. Fun work environment and unlimited access to Product knowledge. awesome employee discount, free education. Easy to pick up hours at other stores in the district AND paid mileage and drive time to help other stores. Most of the customers will be regulars, so its easy to remember names and build relationships with customers and get to know the stylists in the community. scheduling is pretty flexible as long as you're willing to work weekends at least twice a month. Dress code is easy going (just stock up on black pants and comfy closed toed shoes) Not open to the public, so you're dealing with licensed professionals who really value your honest opinion on products. you also get free products and t shirts from brands time to time. Easy to move up if you show you're committed. occasional incentive and bonuses.

    Cons

Computers are always slow and crash at least once a day.
PETTY Drama among store teams and is over looked by District Mentors.
shipments are between 30-300 boxes, expected to be finished within 2 days
Point of Sale system is hard to learn at first, so always have a little note book to write down instructions for yourself.
customers can be very rude at times...don't take it personally, they're all in a hurry.
Upper Management doesn't give team members the credit they deserve at times and can be really frustrating because they don't work "in our shoes" so they don't understand that some of their demands just can't happen and are really pointless.

    Advice to Management

listen to the needs of the employees!!!
