    Pros

    I have been an employee of Saloncentric/L'Oréal for just over a year and have to say I'm so proud to work for them. The way they have stepped up during the COVID-19 crisis is an outstanding example of what companies of integrity do to take care of their people. -They have kept their staff employed and ensured salaries full well knowing that money won't be coming in in the amount it previously had been. -They set up a virtual university to educate staff during the down time to help them be better servants of the industry after coming back online. - They've contributed to Feeding America, PBA and help to produce hand sanitizer during COVID-19 The list goes on and on in how they have contributed to the beauty industry during this time. I'm truly grateful to work for such an amazing company!

    Met a lot of new people Free merch giveaways

    Cons

    High turnover Attendance policy too strict. Saw a lot of good workers get let go due to management not being able to give any kind of wiggle room when it came to attendance violations Alot of days ran 12 hours and lunch was still held to 30 mins.

    Pros

    Amazing, ongoing training making positive impacts in all area of our lives. Excellent commission potential if you are willing to hustle. Authentic communication from leadership, definitely a 'We are in this together' attitude. Room to grow and move within all of L'Oreal. Strong mentorship, powerhouse product launches, and I always feel like the company has my back.

    Cons

    To exceed expectations, sometimes the other areas of your life, feel like an afterthought. Their commitment to constantly improving technologies, does make the learning curve a bit steep...but even that is a pro.

    I worked at SalonCentric part-time for more than a year

    Pros

    The employee discount is great. You get to make/draw signage. You get to be the first to try new products. Your mileage is compensated if you travel to another store. I had incredibly close relationships with my store manager and my team. There are healthcare benefits if you work full-time. The dress code was easy to work with. I enjoyed working with the majority of the customers; most were regulars from salons nearby. Upper management gets treated like royalty and is paid extremely well.

    Cons

    Upper management is incredibly difficult to deal with. The company expects perfection out of people that work for $10.00 an hour. There is never enough time to finish all tasks; it felt like I was never able to keep my head above water. There are unrealistic expectations of sales goals for events, timeliness for getting stock put away, markdowns, and other daily projects. The regional managers only get paid to be cheerleaders.

    Pros

    Discount on products and a lot of product knowledge

    Cons

    Management is disappointing. Never happy with the job you've done because of their own ideas. Difficult with requests off or flexibility in schedule. Job description requires you to be available 3 days a week and 2 saturday's but once you're hired they expect you to be ready and able whenever the manager sees fit to her own schedule.
