    Pros

PTO, benefits, closed on major holidays, paid major holidays,

    Cons

Expectations unrealistic, 200 sale calls/ day. Lots of shipment, busy work and micromanaged big time. More work than pay is worth. Black out dates for time off through holidays and during sales throughout the year.

I have been working at SalonCentric full-time

    Pros

If you want to work there's plenty. If you want to complain, there's room. If you want benefits, there's some. If you want better, move to L'Oreal but be prepared for it to be tougher.

There's animosity in many employees, between the two companies, and not enough appreciation for a decent job on either. Too much attention to those who are chronic complainers but also a proper attention to honest complaints.

Some teams are held in higher regard than others and some higher level figures can run amok and remain unchecked for it. At the same time the company works hard to keep people and keep them happy.

Bottom line, it is what you make of it.

    Cons

Logos and themes are childish. Lots of output, limited outcome. Same can be said for wages and lackluster raises. Some deserve less, others more. Low stamina across all teams and lacking excitement in general. But it has potential. It's a newer company developed on a lot of old problems.

    Advice to Management

See beyond immediate sales demands. Use forward thinking rather than the narrow vision of quarterly goals. Breed loyalty by giving employees something to look forward to other than a paycheck.

I worked at SalonCentric part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Product and brand education, discount on products and classes, great (for the most part) customers

    Cons

Ridiculous scheduling, weak upper management, sales associates are worked to the bone with little direction. Constant store and regional contests - prizes offered to management include island vacations and cash; employees get a day with a regional manager helping you work a day at the store, and they might buy you Panera Bread

    Advice to Management

    It's corporate - that's life.
