I have been working at SalonCentric full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Great benefits if you are full time. it can be ok if you have a good store team amd a good district manager.

    Cons

In response to the negative reviews found here the company started an initiative called "creating a beautiful place to work" which ignores all the reviews critiquing upper management and puts all the responsibility of increasing retention on store managers.
You can only be full time if you are a manager. If you are part time the pay is not at all worth the amount of responsibility you have.
A lot of your time is spent working alone due to very tight labor hours. Saturdays are almost always a 9 hour shift alone with no break. If the store is short staffed you may have to work 11 hours alone with no break on a weekday.
Upper management is completely unaware of what is happening at store level and uncaring of the amount of work they push onto the stores.
None of the departments communicate with each other. Conflicting information is sent out constantly and policies change all the time.
Raises are a joke. Maybe 30 cents if you are lucky. Never anything like a dollar unless you take a new position.
Store teams are ignored when they speak up against unethical practices.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your employees. Pay your employees a living wage that reflects all of the responsibility you give them. Your talk of company culture and values means nothing if it's not being executed

I worked at SalonCentric full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

You get to meet a lot of talented stylist and learn about the best products in the industry.

    Cons

It's not just here but every where: lack of a full time team with dedication and buy in to get the job done. It's a challenge to meet all the dead lines, contest requirements, store resets and budget.

    Advice to Management

Bite the bullet and hire another full time associate, even for the smallest store. The rewards will over shadow the benefits you have to pay. Reward a loyal employee.
