RecommendsPositive OutlookNo opinion of CEOI have been working at Salt River Pima Maricopa Indian Community full-time
Pros
It is a warm and welcoming enrollment. I love the Community so much. They put effort into carrying for their employees, provide excellent benefits, training, and opportunities.
Cons
Bureaucracy can often get in the way of the ability to provide excellent services. It is frustrating when Department leadership talks a lot about wanting to support staff and self-care, but they do not follow through with actions. It is also frustrating when leadership talks about the importance of healing in families but then do not allow for appropriate service delivery, but focus more on the bottom line and financial components.

Doesn't RecommendNegative OutlookDisapproves of CEOI have been working at Salt River Pima Maricopa Indian Community full-time
Pros
Usually easy going. Just don't do anything to attract attention or the wrath of the management.
Cons
Two sets of rules. (1) for the community members, who are pleasant but inept (2) everyone else, including Native Americans from other tribes. The community members get away with a lot of actions that anywhere else, anybody else, would be cause for termination of employment. So, for community member's, it's an absolute dream job. As long as non community members always remember this, they will be fine.

RecommendsPositive OutlookNo opinion of CEOI worked at Salt River Pima Maricopa Indian Community full-time for more than 8 years
Pros
New moms can take your infants to work with you for the first 6 months if you are still nursing!
Cons
If revenues are down within the Community, there's a good possibility of a pay increase freeze. The solution to this was to give employees the equivalent number of days off work (which was a great compromise, in my opinion).
