I have been working at Sam's Club part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

You are able to have that one on one with the members that walk into the store and walk out. A great team of greeters. Up to 34 hours weekly.

    Cons

Sometimes trying to get a certain day off is very difficult because of the short staff.

I have been working at Sam's Club part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

I receive decent hours, have had some amazing experiences with members and associates, and it is decent pay. I started on carts and worked my way into electronics, and I have seen many people move up in the store and company.

    Cons

The turn around rate here is fast, so there a lot of new faces and at least once a month I have to either train or correct someone.

    Advice to Management

My advice to management would be to listen to employees more and take their advice and actually do something about it.

I worked at Sam's Club part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    - Cheap food at the cafe
    - Nice amount of breaks depending on how long your shift is.
    - Being able to go out to the gas station to cover breaks
    - Free Membership
    - Easy to request days off

    Cons

    - Selling Plus Memberships and Credit Cards WHILE annoying the customer and taking no for an answer.
    - The COS constantly jumping down your back about selling the memberships and credit cards
    - Sometimes late breaks
    - Some mangers are OK some are annoying and rude

    Advice to Management

If the Plus Membership DOES NOT benefit the member/ the say no the first time around, Don't keep forcing it down their throats. I've had numerous members(customers) tell me that they were going to stop coming to Sam's Club because of it.

I worked at Sam's Club full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

I learned a lot working here. Learned hope to drive a forklift and cut meat. You are always challenged to work as fast as you can due to limited staff.

    Cons

I quit because they got rid of performance reviews and there are yearly changes to the company that affect pay raises and insurance.

    Advice to Management

If something works don't change it or at least give it a few years to see what works and what doesn't.
