I worked at Sam's Club full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

I hated working at the Sioux City location and assumed all samsclub would be the same. When I took a job at the Davenport location it was night and day difference. I really enjoyed working with almost everyone on staff. Great management and associate team. They're taking a lot of great steps technologically but it's not uncommon for them to reorganize management level positions and have people lose their jobs. I was happy and regret leaving for more money and better benefits because a good culture is quite valuable.

    Cons

Pay was decent, benefits sucked- way too expensive, time off was good though. You worked 55 to 65 hours a week.

    Advice to Management

Quit trying things that mess with people's jobs and lives and then realize it doesn't work and go back to a previous way.

I have been working at Sam's Club full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Sams is a good company to work for, they offer good benefits. The work environment is great, meeting and working with business owners. Good amount of PTO and it goes up every year.

    Cons

Company is always going through changes and/or cut-backs.

    Advice to Management

If you have or want to have a family it is hard to spend quality time with the 10 hour days.
