I have been working at Samsung full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Salary and benefits are good and if you can speak the language opportunities come constantly. Products are great and there is lots of innovation happening at their R&D Labs.

    Cons

Very conservative corporate structure and high presence of hierarchy complicates projects in many situations. This structure makes that in many cases even Vice Presidents don't have complete ownership of the projects started by themselves. This makes decision making very complex and slow.

    Advice to Management

More communication about the direction of the company is important. Constant changes in the direction of projects makes it difficult to achieve targets in short time and before competitors.

    Pros

In Korea, Samsung electronic is incredible company, so if you say I am employee of Samsung , people treat you like VIP. For example , if you go to bank , you can have special offer of loan, thanks to employee of Samsung.
They also give reasonable salary in Korea. this is important because in Korea, there are a lot of companies which don`t give reasonable salary to their employee.

    Cons

Work life balance is not great but Korean people don`t care about it. they just enjoy to stay in company . It seems to make people work hard but actually it is not. recently , they try to change this habit but it is very hard to change it because their directors have the habit and evaluate their team members by hours in office.

    Advice to Management

I think that there are a lot of chances for the company to develop business. On the other hand, the company`s systems is not improving , because the company have a lot of directors and they block and hesitate to make decisions. So it need to make simple systems for decision-making.
