    Positive Outlook

I worked at San Angelo Community Medical Center (More than a year)

    Pros

Money is excellent, since the company has a hard time find employees they have to compensence more with base pay for manager and Director. Environment is ok to many fake people with to deal with but I can look pass that

    Cons

Poor communication from upper management is fine have perform review and you don't have them, I was give a raise with an evaluation or an word I was get a raise. its funny to be a honest in the whole year I have been here I haven't had any kind of perform eval no 30, 60, 90, or annual?????

    Advice to Management

Management team is ok, Communication is the worst problem there because Management is there for the money and that it. they care about the employees just collect there paychecks

    Neutral Outlook

I worked at San Angelo Community Medical Center full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    clean, sign on bonuses, jobs

    Cons

childish, gossip, sabotage of work enviroments still exists. favoritism of a few who continue to vocalize their unhappiness to standardized tasks. agree with previous review. unethical immoral behavior of a couple few makes it uncomfortable for all in a unit

    Advice to Management

more time one on one with nurses for fair performance and unit assessments of their abilities for the benefit of community instead of satisfying a few who do not want to conform to standards.

I worked at San Angelo Community Medical Center full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

clean, close, tuition reimbursement, sign on bonuses

    Cons

very clichish, gossip, back stabbing, sabotage of work enviroments... multiple areas. Widespread vocalization of unhappiness, bitterness, general discord. It feeds on itself and nothing changes... Very very dissapointing.

    Advice to Management

be knowledgeable fair and honest in doing your job ie...nurse managers or move on to someplace you can be happy and productive. Always shuffling nurses isnt the answer... sometimes a unit needs a new nurse manager who can better lead the unit nurses as a team.

    Negative Outlook

I have been working at San Angelo Community Medical Center full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Bid shifting can make alot of money plus points can be exchanged for gift cards or merchandise

    Cons

Staffing by numbers and not acuity so most of the time its 1/6 without an aid to help. And the charge nurses will not help. The assignments are unfair. Too many total care patients to one nurse. The older staff make it as hard as possible for new hires they are aggressive in action and speech. The charge nurse are inexperienced and use the power for personal vendetta against one or more of the staff. Most of the nurses who quit is because to the five older staff who stick together and cause that person work life unbearable. Four of the five are charge nurses.

    Advice to Management

Please look into the complaint of these charge nurses. The need for nurses aids are desperate.
