    Negative Outlook

I worked at San Bernardino Community College full-time for more than a year

    Pros

There are so many amazing, kind, hard-working, down to earth people who work for the District. It was a tremendous joy to serve the underserved populace of Inland SoCal.

    Cons

For over a decade, the CSEA Union has established and cemented a hostile work environment that is pervasive throughout the District. Executive Management under the new supervision of Interim Chancellor Jose Torres condone and protect this extremely toxic behavior and DO NOT support their Managers. Job security is non-existent, unless of course you are in the CSEA Union, which is basically a gang of bullies that have been given a golden ticket to indulge in the foulest toxic behavior, knowing all the while that there will be no repercussions. It is one of the saddest situations I have ever witnessed. The entitled legacy staff members are enabled to openly campaign against their fellow staff members, fabricate lies and opinions amongst themselves then systematically disclose these falsehoods to HR behind closed doors. HR then conducts biased investigations against some of their best staff members, who are then terminated at will without explanation. If you do a quick Google search on KVCR you will find a trail of bread crumbs to prove this minus the names actual names of the worst of the worst Union protected employees. Executive Management is categorically "owned" by the CSEA legacy staff who consist of some of the most negative, back-stabbing, protectors of mediocrity that have run this organization into the ground for over a decade. This is a fantastic place for curmudgeons to spend their entire lives counting down the hours until retirement, undermining and openly campaigning against anyone they perceive as a threat to their exorbitant benefits and pensions.
