I worked at San Bernardino County full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Coworkers are great, schedule is great, pay is okay.

    Cons

Customers aren't nice, union does nothing for employees, no pay increases for years at a time. Promotions aren't based on merit. They are based on who they like or who filed the most recent complaint with union threatening to sue.

    Advice to Management

Merit based promotions should be exercised. Change unions.

I worked at San Bernardino County

    Pros

The retirment would be the best reason. If you live in San Bernardino county you may be able to find a ob close to home

    Cons

You are not paid well for the amount of work. Management has lose toch with the employees. Also you are given a graet deal of work with many deadlines. There are not enough employees to complete the work. If you are doing case work you do enough work for two people but are not paid well.

    Advice to Management

Pay more attention to the job the employees are doing and find ways to make it easier for them. Stop putting so much pressure on new workers so they will stay. The turn over is high because new employees have to much pressure. Work on employee retention. You are losing the best and the brightest.
