I have been working at San Diego Center for Children full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Staff are like family; casual and supportive environment among your non management colleagues

    Cons

Pay, lack of pension, laughable retirement options, employees who are only there to collect paychecks only, management cliques, “open door” policies, fear of voicing opinions, overly paid but under qualified employees, zero transparency

    Advice to Management

Really listen to what your employees have to say. You’re losing valueable employees by the dozen and the ones that are still there, the morale is quite low.

I was so impressed with the dedication of the employees to help the clients get healthier so they can lead happy lives. They are truly committed to helping children and adolescents! The children are best to be at the Center with such outstanding, caring staff.

    Cons

I wish the contracts paid more so the Center could pay employees more.
