    Positive Outlook

I worked at San Ramon Regional Medical Center as an intern

    Pros

Great place to volunteer at, especially if you are looking towards to going to a healthcare related field. The volunteer coordinator is very nice and helpful, the staff I've worked with are also very excited to pass down their knowledge

    Cons

Small Hospital, therefore, there's only a small variety of settings

    Neutral Outlook

    Pros

Very small hospital, so the employees are generally friendly. New COO/CNO is cleaning house. Less productive managers are being replaced and the hospital is slowly getting a facelift. Open gym and discounted personal training and fitness classes for employees.

    Cons

Union nurses. Extremely tight budgets, so departments are scrutinized. The facility is dated (decor) and cardiac catherization lab is archaic.

    Advice to Management

Improve technology. Patients should be able to access and download their own medical information and lab results.

    Neutral Outlook

    Pros

short commute if live in San Ramon, small hospital

    Cons

understaffed, old administration not very cognizant of patient needs, like most hospitals put economics before patient care.

    Advice to Management

Listen to what the staff have to say, put patients before economics.
