Pros
Great work force and colleagues at the company. Pay and benefits are about up to par with other companies in the industry

Good job, boring product
Nov 3, 2014 - Field Marketing Intern in San Diego, CARecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
The experience was worth it and it really taught me a lot. The pay was great too.
Cons
The job was really boring and required constant driving around from store to store. It was hard to get excited about the product.

Good and Bad both
Jun 19, 2014 - Design Engineer II in Milpitas, CARecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Work place is very competitive. Manager is very helpful & supportive. Facility are good like the gym , volleyball court and cafe. Company is doing great so stock prices are rising rapidly. This gives good returns on ESPP otherwise not much of an advantage for Design Engineer II.
Cons
Salary is too low. Work life balance is missing. No overtime pay. Still using old verification technique.

Great Experience, Boring Work
Nov 17, 2009 - Field Marketing InternRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
-Great pay for an intern -Lots of independence in choosing hours and work route -Management is not looking over your shoulder 24/7; you are given a task and expected to complete it timely and competently
Cons
-Not enough direction in assigning tasks -Very little training given to interns -Little to no feedback on job performance makes it difficult to improve and grow professionally

Good Internship Opportunity, Decent Company
Apr 9, 2013 - Field Marketing in Milpitas, CARecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Pretty good pay for a college internship SanDisk looks great on a resume Lots of independence and flexibility Ability to travel if you're a solid performer Good likelihood of working part-time throughout school year (if you're good at the job)
Cons
Lack of feedback from managers Work is very repetitive, sometimes dull and too easy Company culture is as boring as its product Flash memory seems more and more like a commodity It seems like there might be a lack of entry-level jobs so I doubt I will work here after college

Pros
Pay is pretty decent and bonuses are pretty good. Bonuses are only guaranteed if company does well. The gym is really nice. Can have flex work life balance depending on your boss.
Cons
Past acquisitions have been a complete disaster. Upper management does not know what they are doing. They tend to play more politics than actually trying to execute. Strategy going forward is interesting but the execution is lacking. Not top notch caliber talent at the company. Lot of politics at the company that impedes people from getting things done and executing.

Great Jumping Point
Feb 5, 2016 - Field Marketing Intern in Boston, MARecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
It's a great way to work on your communication and interpersonal skills. It's self-driven for the most part, with lots of schedule flexibility, and it really tests your ability to form quick relationships. Additionally, the tech you're marketing is very interesting, and there's a weeklong training seminar in CA, where they give you a rundown of all the products you'll be talking about, and essentially give you almost every one of them for free so you can 'play with it and understand it better'. and the pay is very competitive for the calibre of job.
Cons
Because many of the interns work remotely, there is not as much of a team feeling as I would have hoped. It can also get somewhat monotonous visiting the same stores and having the same conversations. The lack of direction from management was also mildly disconcerting, though they were always happy to answer any questions you may have.

Pros
-Good Employee benefits and pays well -Organize lot of fun activities -Heavily into charity events
Cons
- Reorg pretty often - Some department do not have visibility into future projects - If you are not a hardware person, difficult to switch projects within the company. May be not be a best place for Software engineers.
Thank you for recognizing our competitive benefit and compensation plans and our dedication to both promoting work-life balance and to give back to the community! The Employee Activities Committee works diligently year round to come up with fun ways to get employees engaged outside of the workplace by organizing fun events and we appreciate you recognizing this. Same goes for our commitment to community service; it has been outlined as one of SanDisk’s corporate goals to reach 100% employee participation in community service events and we are proud to report we have almost reached our goal with 93% of our employees regularly volunteering each year! In regards to your comments about our frequent reorgs, we recognize that our missed estimates in Q4 and Q1 led to a lack of stability in several departments but we are hopefully that our positive results this past quarter marked a turning point towards a promising upcoming year.
