    Pros

Like any other big organization, SanDisk has internal politics. You will work with some very nice talented people and others where you wonder why are these people here. They offer good benefits and some free classes to grow your social aptitude to work with others.

    Cons

Unfortunately there is a lot of middle management with more individual contributors needed to do the actual work. Not good on work life balance. It seems the better you are at your job, the more items will be dumped on you due to some incompetent person on your team not meeting their deliverables. Demanding, always a fire drill, not a lot of appreciation, and minimal salary increases annually.

    Sandisk Review

    Pros

Great atmosphere and people and top of the art facilities. stable company that was bought recently by Western Digital.

    Cons

Average salary comparing to other companies like Apple, Mellanox, IBM etc. The interview process can be take over few month. There is no much to complain if the salary is good for you.

    Pros

Sandisk is an extremely fast paced and challenging company to work for. There are no shortage of opportunities for growth and professional challenge. You will be pushed to achieve and deliver things at a pace that you would think not possible. If you can deliver in this environment, then you will be successful (and well compensated). Great people (generally) to work with and a main reason why I come to work each day.

    Cons

The pace is also an issue. Extremely aggressive (and sometimes unrealistic) deadlines drive unbelievable stress and burnout is a major concern. The pace also creates situations in which things are often done “fast” vs. “well” and often those compromises come back to haunt you. Overall organizational maturity is low but slowly improving (lack of process and procedures, etc.). The entire company is VERY tactical and “hands on” at all levels. This can be extremely frustrating for those who come from larger organizations where thinking strategic is common. Attempts by many to try to mature the business and change this culture have been met with significant resistance (our outright failure). The company is extremely “frugal” and budget cuts and headcount pressure are a constant. This creates additional pressure on those who are trying to deliver. Work-Life balance is nonexistent and the company seems all too willing to take as much as you will let it. If you are the workaholic type, this place will bury you.

    Need to improve communication

    Dec 4, 2012 -

    Pros

Have very smart people that work for SanDisk but seems to lack some qualities in social events. It would be better if there were more people than just go to work do their part then leave.

    Cons

Extremely smart managers but some don't know how to manage people. Should not have someone in charge of others who don't know how to teach them or communicate with them. I wish teams/groups did more things together outside of work. I know that within my team there was a person who I never really talked to because they kept to themselves and didn't come out of their cube at all. I wish more managers wanted to go out for lunch as a team more often so that within each team you know everyone well.

    Culture Needs Change

    Pros

Pay is pretty decent and bonuses are pretty good. Bonuses are only guaranteed if company does well. The gym is really nice. Can have flex work life balance depending on your boss.

    Cons

Past acquisitions have been a complete disaster. Upper management does not know what they are doing. They tend to play more politics than actually trying to execute. Strategy going forward is interesting but the execution is lacking. Not top notch caliber talent at the company. Lot of politics at the company that impedes people from getting things done and executing.

A great place to work for core firmware developers

    Pros

    > Work Environment is awesome. Too much freedom to come and go. So you can do whatever you want to do as there is no restriction. > People are very friendly and helpful. > Intranet of the company is extremely useful as it contains lot of info regarding storage domain. So if you want to learn something new in this domain just log in and start reading. > You have access to almost everything, including company's quarter meetings and presentations. So you can know anything you want to know about this company.[ > Perks are also good.

    Cons

    > There are staff engineers placed at every level of organisation which is destructive as they don't have any technical knowledge (or even if they have they never do any technical work) and they will manage the technical employees which is not right. > Lots and lots of meetings. Seriously sometimes you feel that you come to office just to attend unproductive meetings in the face of KT(Knowledge Transfer) > Food is very bad. I don't know about the present situation but at my time being a north indian I used to detest the food there.

    Pros

For a large company It had a smaller company feel. I enjoyed working with the different business units. The people are very friendly and appreciative for contributions made

    Cons

On the retail side they are doing nice things with the brand. On the enterprise side they seem dated in their approach. I would hope they could brake out of this and do some exciting things
