    Pros

    Co-workers, Vacation/Sick leave -PTO, Benefits-medical,dental & 401-K

    Cons

Manager has No experience & No clue about department and how to run it. The tribal council and members in management make employees feel discriminated against because they are not Native American. Favoritism, Raciest, sneaky, unprofessional.

    Advice to Management

90% of your employees and 99% of your customers are not "Native". If you continue to discriminate and believe there beneath you, your casino will be empty like you parking garage.

    Pros

Discount Lunches and the normal working people are very nice.

    Cons

No Flexibility on Work Schedules, Very Strict Workplace Rules, No Employee Advancement or Credit Given, Management Expects everything out of their employees and gives nothing

    Advice to Management

Review your policies and maybe hire an outside firm to teach you how to manage a business. Treat your employees with respect and give them incentives to want to work there.

I worked at Sandia Resort and Casino full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The medical and dental are very good. 401k match up to 4% is good. I have seen other companies offer 2 or 3%. You are vested immediately.

    Cons

Tribal members take off and leave the department uncovered and nobody cares. Any Sandia tribal day you can expect to work without support. Tribal people can call in sick and they are not held to the same standard as non tribal members, It is called tribal preference. I would never work in a tribal environment.

    Advice to Management

Give more than a 25 cent raise. Increase base salaries. Get rid of lazy tribal members who don't pull their own weight.

I worked at Sandia Resort and Casino full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Its a casino, its going to be busy all the time. full 401k, health, ect.

    Cons

Its really not worth your time, I worked as Bartender. You have to turn in 100% of your tips that go on your pay check and then get taxed as well.
You also are forced to give over 20% to your barback and in some of the bars you have to give them 50%.
Supervisors are never around when you need them, then will turn on you and throw you under the buss right in front of guests.
The 4 years I was at SanidaI watch them walk out over 30 different people for the stupidest things

    Cons

They do not rehire if you resign with a 2 to 3 week notice.

    Advice to Management

Why not rehire an employee if they left on good terms.
