I have been working at Sanford Rose Associates full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Excellent opportunity to work with outstanding professionals as both clients and job seekers. Unlimited opportunities for personal growth and satisfaction

    Cons

All companies need top talent to function but the executive search industry is impacted by external forces beyond your control

    Advice to Management

Continue to bring in exceptional professionals who are committed to the highest level of service and delivery.

    Pros

    Great staff.
    They care about their employees.
They have potential and work hard to improve areas of business.
Regular company activities inside and outside of the office.

    Cons

Extremely poor training combined with micromanagement made it difficult to focus and complete one task or sale. You are given unrealistic expectations and expected to execute things that you have not had training on. They only have 4 employees, so the management of tasks and other areas of operating the business are unorganized. The tools used to complete the daily tasks were insufficient. The database was messy and always had some kind of issue with it. It would report skewed numbers so you would never know what your exact statistics were, while being critiqued by managers on your statistics. Your goal would change every week because they have not created a working system to create and track goals. Management spent 80% of the day trying to resolve technological issues on the phone.
Don't let the "Human Resources" job title fool you. You will be doing 100% recruting sales.

    Advice to Management

Better training will decrease the need for micromanagement.
Need better tools for the job and a more organized process for the employees.
Better understanding of the employee's daily tasks will allow management to understand the unrealistic expectations they give and also decrease micromanagement.
Work events should be optional with how frequent they are, as employees spend most of their day at work anyway.
