    Pros

    401k car and health

    Cons

Gossipy big pharma at its worst. Two faced trolls who spend more time plotting on how they can look like they had something to do with it vs, getting their own customers to write drug. A bunch of two faced gossipers who are cut throat. I'm the type of rep who had the number one sales off and on paper and would be described as a loan wolf

    Advice to Management

Philly management needs to grow up, not show favoritism with sub par performers just because they trained together. Hire reps that are older into management not young cocky individuals. The politics gossip and ack of performance by 90% of the reps within this organization should be obvious.,.. Instead of doing bunking grown adults at meetings get rid of the bottom half .... You don't need ten reps in a small territory irritating docs... Only 1 good impactful rep..,, big pharma at its worst.... Had to be out the specialty reps were stealing my commission and not doing any work..., good luck to all of the gossipers launching iglarixi.... No doubt they will be bottom of barrel

    I worked at Sanofi-Aventis full-time

    Pros

Benefits are good. Training was intense but you are able to know your drug.

    Cons

They said the company atmosphere has changed. It has not. Management is hard core. Up all hours doing busy work and conference calls weekly. Very micromanaged.

    Advice to Management

Managers are out for themselves. Hire people who want to help make their reps great and achieve advancement.

    Cons

Management needs a lot to be desired. No structure. Nasty people. Do not follow corporate standards. Work you 50 to 60 hours a week but will only pay you for 40 hours.

    Business acumen was low
We will see how their pricing strategy works with their new Basal insulin, I believe that 2nd and 3rd quarter earnings will be negative because of discounting.
Their cardiometabolic drug will suffer because of their pricing strategy with Lovenox and now Lantus.
           Inhaled insulin was a bust.

    Advice to Management

    Blank

    I worked at Sanofi-Aventis full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Benefits are better than most, vacation, 401k.

    Cons

I worked for many of the predecessor companies on the Aventis side, since 2005 and the hiring of Chris Viebacher the culture has soured to heavy handed over site and management. I was a manager in the company and began to feel like I was being asked to do things against my ethical beliefs in rating employees when much of the performance today is dictated by managed care and PBM's.

    Advice to Management

We know it is all about the stockholders and keeping the folks in Paris happy. Relax the culture, performance metrics are ridiculous when you don't understand the US market is not being controlled by healthcare providers alone. There are so many more factors determining prescription volume unless you have novel compounds which unfortunately you do not!

    I worked at Sanofi-Aventis full-time

    Pros

Salary competitive, ample parking, some excellent colleagues, resources available when priority, international opportunities, high turnover can create opportunities

    Cons

Poor leadership, no long-term vision or commitment, poor culture - Franco-centric, poor communication, run by bean counters and lawyers, budget re-aligned every 3 mos, innovation squelched and not recognized, CYA culture dominates

    Advice to Management

Create internal start-ups with 5 yr budgets with 50% internal and external management mix and do not micro-manage. Reorganize into separately run units - decentralized.
