I have been working at Sanofi Genzyme full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Good benefits, flexible work hours

    Cons

Leadership communication ineffective; no appreciation; have set a high bar for performance with little or no mentoring; rare to find a people manager!

    Advice to Management

There is no use in re-organization if ineffective leaders are on top jobs.

I worked at Sanofi Genzyme full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Flexible work hours, great supportive team. Lots to learn in an encouraging environment.

    Cons

To many trainings. I thought as a Research Associate working in lab I donot need to be trained in how to track expenses made by sales teams and how to allocate money for client related expenses. But every few months I had to do an hour more online training for that and it would take away time from experiments. Also they have limited - 2 year max- contract terms.

I worked at Sanofi Genzyme full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Benefits are competitive, but at the expense of pay, raises, and bonuses--all of which compare poorly to industry norm's (try bottom 25%)

    Cons

Sanofi-Genzyme is a worst case, plodding big-pharma mess. The thought that Genzyme could be the kernel around which a biotech leader could be built is laughable—by industry standards Genzyme is ancient history. More troubling is a low performing culture, no incentives, no motivation, and truly horrible management. There are forms and processes galore but no real adherence to the processes, nor to ethical standards— even common sense and common decency have left the building. The only thing good about employment here is it affords you time to actively search for another job.
