I have been working at Sanofi Pasteur full-time

    Pros

Time off is excellent - great vacation and personal time package! Health benefits and 401K.

    Cons

The morale is down; employees who once loved this company are looking to get out. They can't seem to get promotions or praise. Plus all of the perks - Christmas parties, summer picnics, Thanksgiving checks, etc.. have been taken away.

    Advice to Management

Stop taking things away and show praise for employees who have dedicated most of their life there. Promote the ones who have shown loyalty to the company.

I have been working at Sanofi Pasteur full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good Salary- management in my area is supportive of its employees to work toward career development

    Cons

Contractors and temporary workers are unable to participate in events since they are not employees- often creates a tense working environment.

    Advice to Management

Ensure that all employees are treated fairly and given forewarning and clear objectives for the tasks on which they will be working.

I have been working at Sanofi Pasteur full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Best 401K, Good Work Life Balance, Decent Compensation, Good Bonus's

    Cons

No Transparency, Difficult to advance due to nepotism, Job postings are not forthcoming as management already has people in mind for the position prior to posting.

I have been working at Sanofi Pasteur full-time

    Pros

Good health insurance and 401k match, on-site small fitness center and yoga classes. nice campus to take a walk on a sunny day.

    Cons

Old school management style resisting change. Managers hired based on scientific accomplishments and not on management skills so unfavorable management practices exist and everyone is turning the blind eye.
HR is supporting programs that should better the culture but change is slow. Other than that, HR is not of much help, most are contractors anyway.

I have been working at Sanofi Pasteur full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

The company has a good 401K
Fair amount of vacation/family life options depending on job
The company has potential, it once was a great place.

    Cons

So many in house organizations with various messages, no one has a job that allows time to decipher the info. Over worked employees, more and more work, no raises or help, no new hires. There is no clear directive. Company gives low to middle management positions to people who either don't perform or are not accountable- it will be their downfall.

    Advice to Management

I honestly feel bad about stating the problems but I see it going down hill consistently. I feel I must speak for all the people doing some great work on the bottom levels. A company can't expect to excel in the top three without happy employees. As far as I can tell there are many unhappy people. No clear message is reaching direct to those who are working hard in the trenches, Make sure the positions match the jobs and salaries. Get rid of middle/lower management that are not doing their job.

I have been working at Sanofi Pasteur full-time

    Pros

They make some important vaccines and biologics. There are some fantastic people who work there.

    Cons

Pay scale is not commiserate with market.
IT infrastructure poor, implementation of new programs and systems is not well-executed. Service desk routinely closes tickets without resolution. Frequent infrastructure issues hampers ability to execute work.
HR is a hotline, rather than a person, frequently unable to address concerns.
Deficient in planning, organization, alignment--resources not applied for task at hand. Over reliance (in some areas) on contractors. Corporate management does not address concerns when raised.
Rules and standards vary significantly from site to site.

    Advice to Management

Focus on people as a valuable asset. Spend time on planning and execution to plan. Ensure resources are distributed appropriately and roles are well-defined and people held accountable.
