    Pros

Not many. I guess if you ask for a high wage going in and they say yes roll with it cause it's all youre getting.

    Cons

Everything. This place had all the potential in the world. Now the French want the Americans gone. We make too much and don't work hard enough they say. We work harder than them and get paid less and have better quality. It's a them problem not an us problem. The fda will catch wind of all the shotty fixes they have eventually.

    Advice to Management

Promote from within and hire outsiders at the bottom. Stop rewarding pretty young girls over those who gave blood sweat and tears for 5+ years.

    Pros

Excellent salary and benefits, flexible work hours

    Cons

No growth opportunity. Departments work in silos, no teamwork and a lot of pointing fingers when things go wrong.

    Advice to Management

Need to lead by example. Need to work as a team first then teach your direct reports to work as a team.

    Cons

Management is often out of touch; advancement within departments is difficult; legacy employees often interfere with changes and improvements

    Advice to Management

Get involved! Get to know your people. Take talent management seriously. Think of investing time in your direct reports as investing and improving your department.

    Pros

Decent pay...ummmm what else? Hmmm....I'd have to say nothing!

    Cons

External employees are EXPENDABLE, more than in other companies. Management cares little for their contractors. I witnessed blatant racism, poor treatment of handicapped people (both of whom were let go on some phony pretense.) Management's attitude is 'they're contractors, we can do whatever we want' [not according to the EEOC people I talked to.]

Managers make mistakes then place the blame on contractors and fire them with no notice.

Contractors manage contractors and make hire/fire decisions. HR backs up the decisions and makes no effort to get both sides of the story, or treat people fairly.

All in all, a toxic work environment. Stay away, far away!

    Advice to Management

Word gets around. Your negligence of your large contractor population is becoming common knowledge. You are fast becoming a least desired company to work for.

I have been working at Sanofi Pasteur full-time

    Pros

The base pay is the highest in the area, flexible time and great time off and 401k.

    Cons

Very low employee appreciation in terms of both money and raises. Employee enrichment opportunities are aimed at people in their current roles and not expanding them to where they would like to go.

    Advice to Management

Fight for your workers to make sure they are happy and feel appreciated. Take the time to ask them where they would like to go and help them get there even if it means moving out from under you.

    Pros

nice campus, people are good, large company with a lot of products

    Cons

the pay is lower than other companies and there is a lot of "this is how we do it" not wanting to make changes. It seems like half of the employees were born within 5 miles of the site and went to ESU

    Advice to Management

the company is overly strict with some quality practices and completely lax with other policies.
