I worked at Sansum Clinic (More than a year)

    Pros

Great coworkers, depending on your department can be easy or rough.

    Cons

Every department is different, no homogeneity. Clinic upper management could care less about how these departments function or the various workflow issues.

    Advice to Management

Enforce some kind of structure around department workflows. Yes, it keeps your providers happy if they get to run their department like their own clinic. However, your patients and your staff suffer because one department is still stuck in the stone ages with paper charts while another has savvy young doctors using EPIC.

    Pros

Relatively easy work, but very interesting. pretty good pay and fun working with the patients and staff from the area.

    Cons

Office drama is sometimes excessive, gossip runs rampant. some studies are laborious and kind of crazy, but this is due to strict FDA regulations

I have been working at Sansum Clinic full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

If you have no experience you will learn allot; when you can get out. Just remember your a good employee/person. Management will act like your not to the best employees to keep them scared to going to other establishments. Once you figure this out, you wish you didn't stay more then a year. Take this at my word I did 12 years.

    Cons

Extremely unprofessional, from clothing to character of management fraternizing with personal "relations" with employees. This establishment has been sued and nothing is changing.

    Advice to Management

Become what your title is, your employees shouldn't be your family you hire; or other managements family if you cant treat everyone equal to each job description. If physicians family are hired at any position, other employees shouldn't have to answer to them as if they are management. If a employee upsets you by confronting a issue ask yourself why, are you so upset? Maybe its the truth that's upsetting you.

    Pros

Provides excellent medical providers for patients

    Cons

Expects staff to be able to incorporate seemingly unlimited demands without providing needed additional work force. Salaries are not standardized within the organization resulting in inequitable salaries for staff.

    Advice to Management

Bite the bullet and provide sufficient staff to accomplish PCMH demands, and standardize pay accordingly.
