I have been working at Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital full-time

    Pros

Supportive Coworkers, friendly staff, 12H shifts

    Cons

Management on autopilot, parking, touting values but not supporting employees, poor atmosphere

    Advice to Management

Management needs to be more active on the floor in terms of knowing and understanding what their staff is working with on the floor. Short staffed, touting values and not following them, brushing staffing issues under the rug

I worked at Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Team work was very prevalent once you proved your worth and that you could be trusted and accountable. Very busy and plenty of diversity in people and work. Most of the staff felt like good friends and family.

    Cons

Upper management and those who didn't work in the hospital or show up once in a while could be deceptive. They fought hard and dirty to keep the union out and targeted employees that were interested or just curious about what they could do ( this was about 7 years ago).

    Advice to Management

Try to talk to employees and ask them questions with respect for what they do and how hard most of them work in a sometimes very stressful environment (ED, ICU, Psych.). Follow up on ongoing issues and have compassion and sencerity instead of either ignoring or letting go of some great people.

    Pros

the staff/ clinicians are amazing and the only reason the organization survives. The sisters's mission are truly believed by the staff and they practice it in everything they do.

    Cons

Administration use the sister's mission as propaganda. They could care less about the staff

    Advice to Management

appreciate your clinicians ! They are the only reason you have a job
