    Learning opportunities are good.
Gives good package at the time of hiring.

I have been working at Sapient full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

This is good for those who wanted to learn. Lot of opportunities to learn and grow.
Have been more then 6 years in the same company. Loved the culture so far.

    Cons

    1. Lot of uncertainty on the future since publicis has taken over the sapient, policies are changing more frequently, no more the same old sapient where employee were the asset.
    2. Appraisals have changed drastically, now it is average to get 4 % hike per year. Also company has done appraisals in 15 months, this has been repeated twice in last 4 years.
    3. Bench period is most pressurizing period, despite all the skills you are hired or gain over the time, does not make you eligible for next projects.
    4. People are hired in bulk by expecting new projects in upcoming month, once projects does not come, they fire people by giving silly reasons.
    5. Cutting on bonuses by highlighting the industry trend or market , cutting on % hikes , delays on the salary increments by giving policy changes and alignments are pretty common now. This shows the mindset which organization has taken over the last few years.
    6. Old and new both type of employees are worried, transparency is going away. Lot of abstract decision by management, no 360* feedback anymore.

Lot more is changing...Beware for the future...

    Advice to Management

Not how possible it is, but be careful while you take decisions on people be it firing people or delaying on appraisals. It impacts your image and your decisions impacts people who have been working tirelessly for you for years...

I worked at Sapient full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    ~ Great learning Experience
    ~ New technology exposure
    ~Process and Industry standards learnings
~There are multiple forums and groups from which you can really learn a lot

    Cons

~Work Life balance is the biggest challenge there. Stretching is a norm and expectation in most projects. Same goes for weekend work.
    ~Appraisals are not great
~On Site opportunities and promotions are "usually" fixed and are given to people with biggest tongues. :P
~Senior management are usually dreaming and treat other people below them as "children" rather than colleagues. This appeared very strange to me.

    Advice to Management

Please try to identify Good resources rather and appraise them properly. Also work on project estimates properly to correct work life balance issues.
