    Pros

Good at the team level. Worked with very smart people

    Cons

Leadership was too resistance to change and not connected to what was happening on the ground. Good intentions but didnt do the work to really know people.

    Advice to Management

    Walk the talk

I have been working at Sapient full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

There are a lot of good learning experiences

    Cons

Men get promoted faster and more frequently than women. Not a good time to be here, there is a lot of uncertainty because of the merger and we are not winning a lot of projects

    Advice to Management

You need to promote men and women equally

    I worked at Sapient full-time

    Pros

The teams self-organize across experience levels and expertise. Team members are all smart, competent, dedicated people - truly a pleasure to work with. However, staff are resourced and reallocated with little consultation for those affected; and sometimes the self-organization (with no checks and balances from above) means there are localized, petty dictatorships, where people are shut out of the team or the process for reasons *not* of the making of anyone on the project team.

    Cons

After being told that the office was family friendly, and offered benefits such as flexible hours and work from home, what I *actually* experienced was last minute demands to work late into the night at the office, and full-days at the office on weekends, to cater to perfectionist impulses from project owners. When discussed with HR, I was told (almost word for word) that I was kidding myself if I thought I could have career advancement while enjoying work-life balance.

I worked at Sapient full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Reasonable autonomy and nice coworkers. Regular team building activities.

    Cons

Very bureaucratic with respect to time keeping and expense reporting. Path to promotions is unclear. Top heavy organization with too many directors who wouldn't be elsewhere except their # of yrs of Sapient experience. Culture seemed a bit divided into Indian and non-Indian.

    Advice to Management

More formal & transparent review and promotion policies.
