    Cons

    The benefits are very expensive
    401k is a joke
    The floors reek of mold
The office is an embarrassment to work in
There are holes in the ceiling.
The CEO smokes in the office
Management does not know what they are doing
You are there to fend for yourself. It is better to google the right answer than to ask for help
You have to pay for coffee at the office

    Advice to Management

Hire people with actual experience in lingerie. So there are not a bunch of chickens running around with their heads chopped off.

    Pros

Good place to get start out and get training, great co-workers

    Cons

Low pay with little to no raises, not always a lot of room for advancement, staff is often overworked, no job security, very little benefits, filthy office work areas

    Advice to Management

Pay your employees and make them feel valued. A good salary/benefits go a long way.

I worked at Saramax Apparel Group full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Paid Jewish holidays off. Coworkers are nice so you won't have to suffer alone. Early closings Friday's (earlier in the winter than the summer)

    Cons

Toxic work environment. The upper management is very secretive about company performance which left many employees unprepared for lack of raises/bonuses/promotions. The company is overworking its people and not paying them any extra for it. Employees will work late hours or go without eating lunch all day for a project that will then be changed completely based on a whim or someone's personal taste. The upper management has been made completely aware how unhappy the employees are but they don't care to do anything about it.

The office is dirty and falling apart. A large part of the office is still in disrepair after water damage from a flood nearly 2 years ago. Garbage bags with water damaged samples have lined the hallway ever since. Cockroaches in the bathroom and kitchen.

Lack of respect for employees. Comments made by upper management to employees have been unprofessional, offensive, and rude.

They offer an unaffordable healthcare plan and a 401k that is essentially a savings account.

    Advice to Management

Good people cost money. Don't expect to keep your talented employees much longer if you don't pay them.

    Pros

-A lot of Jewish Holidays off

    Cons

    - Your desired role and what you ACTUALLY do is really different
    - There is no set system to organize project
    - When you first work there, they don't teach you anything
    - Only a few people work hard until late at night and upper managers just leaves on time

I worked at Saramax Apparel Group full-time

    Pros

The best part about Saramax Apparel Group is the people, very pleasant and easy to work with. Great work/life balance, good hours.

    Cons

The worst part about Saramax Apparel Group are the benefits, low pay, poor insurance, no 401k, etc. The office is also in terrible condition and desperately needs to be updated.

    Advice to Management

Take care of your designers if you want them to stay for the long term. Update your office! Fix the holes in the ceiling, repair the moldy carpet, etc.

I worked at Saramax Apparel Group full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Quiet atmosphere, only front showroom is nice and presentable. Holiday schedule is extensive, but notice of office early closings for the beginning of national holidays is ridiculous, advise less than half hour before, if there will be any.

    Cons

Dirty dingy working conditions, ceiling tiles missing exposing hazardous pipes.

Have a tendency of letting go of staff ALL OF THE TIME with no regard of work contribution, only the "bottom line". Do not give opportunities to find other options either within company or outside before dismissing, even when lay off is not attributed to work performance.

    Healthcare coverage is extremely expensive.

    NO opportunities for growth.

    Advice to Management

Show a little more appreciation for your employees to give them some sense of the same.

I worked at Saramax Apparel Group full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

I learned a bunch of great and really learned what it was like to be discriminated against.

    Cons

There are two sets of rules. One set of rules for Jewish employees and another for non-Jewish employees.

    Advice to Management

The reverse discrimination is just not ok, and really obvious as well.
