I have been working at Satmetrix full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

It's a fairly laid back environment, with schedules/ work from home flexibility. Nice people work here and it's a good place to get business experience ! Goals are difficult but achievable.

    Cons

There has been a lot of turnover since I have worked here, both of employees and of clients. Though Satmetrix has a great product, it doesn't market it as well as it could.

    Advice to Management

Inspire your employees and set an example/ lay out a vision for the future that we can articulate to our clients and prospects.

I worked at Satmetrix full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The are willing to pay above market rates for employees. They are sometimes willing to spend money on interesting systems.

    Cons

Downsides of working at satmetrix include: you may find yourself trying to sell a product which does not do what the company claims it does. i was constantly worried about losing my job because i could not get my manager to commit to defining what success looked like, my responsibilities changed frequently, and people at the company did not seem to stay in their roles for very long, (there were a lot of hirings and firings.) I found the environment to be very politically charged, with different people vying with control of their groups - this seemed to be more important to them than making good products or selling them.

    Advice to Management

I do not have any advice for management. When I was at the company it seemed to me that senior leadership did not value the efforts of employees. I can offer no advice on how to charge what seems to me to be an intrinsic flaw.

    Satmetrix Response

    Mar 1, 2016 – Head of HR

There was a re-org in Dec and we let go of 4 low performing employees. It's sad that employees take revenge on Glassdoor. We didn't coerced anyone into writing reviews. An email was sent to the... More

    Pros

People love NPS and the methodology is still relevant to measure business success today. I don't see that changing anytime soon.

    Cons

Email surveys are dead, the world is moving to mobile and Satmetrix has massive challenges adopting to the modern working environment. The leaders are quite smart but also self-serving. Being previously wealthy, the hunger is missing and management freezes at making the hard decisions needed to put the company on track. Success means 2/3 less headcount, bring all dev back to US and focus on selling the value of the insights to become differentiated.

    Advice to Management

Reinvent yourself as a pure-play SaaS company with unique visibility into real-time market trends. It's time for some big hard changes or the next 3 years will be 10x more painful than the last 3.

    Pros

Sales has some good qualities here. The day to day grunt work is made better by a fun environment and incentives have been very good so far. The leadership team does their best to help employees from the top down and the transparency in my department has been refreshing and a positive experience.

    Cons

    - People not knowing what our Product is (lack of good marketing, but they are improving)
    - Open office does not work for everyone

    Advice to Management

My management has been great and there is a good open door policy. Keep the growth up, and push the products that are going to set Satmetrix apart thus allowing us increase our sales efforts!
