I worked at Save the Children as an intern (More than a year)

    Pros

Able to get your hands on the analytic data parts and find mutual solutions for the upcoming projects.

    Cons

Somehow, like any other NGOs, do not expect a high-pathed growth under stress; this is a place for "Live-Work Balance."

    No opinion of CEO

I have been working at Save the Children as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

The work is meaningful and aligned with my interests - I truly feel like I am doing something with my time when I am here. The staff is friendly and approachable.

    Cons

People are often travelling and the office can feel empty at times. The lunch environment is definitely centered around eating at your desk.

    Advice to Management

I know some teams have events or happy hours, but mine does not. Have more organization wide events for people to attend.

I have been working at Save the Children as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

I had an amazing internship at Save the Children, I was given a lot of responsibility and autonomy within my role. Everyone I worked with was incredibly supportive and encouraging. I learned a lot from interning with them.

    Cons

Some times specific tasks were a little unclear and required follow-up to understand better. At times the work felt a little unorganized but that is not unusual for working in a non-profit space and, honestly, Save is much more organized that other NGOs I've worked for.

CEO is amazing and values staff, always encouraging people to take vacation time because everyone works so hard on behalf of suffering children. Great motivator and demonstrates strong belief in our mission.
