    Pros

-Shop was usually always busy meaning shifts went by faster.

    Cons

    - Management were clueless - very rude management when I worked there who looked down their nose at most of the staff and didn't treat them well.
    - Area managers had no clue what they were doing.
    - Very old equipment - tills were very old and card machines crashed all the time.
    - Management continually messed up holiday requests.

    Advice to Management

Treat staff better and you might find that your staff will stick around longer.

    Pros

Lovely company to work for, with plenty of development opportunities and chances to learn new things everyday.

You get to chance to work with various departments and management on a daily basis which is great and gives everyone a chance to get to know each other and what their job role involves.

The employee perks and also great and tend to change on a weekly basis.

    Cons

Bigger facilities in the office would be great however I'm sure this is something that will be developed in the future as the company grows.

I worked at Savers Health and Beauty full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Staff were all lovely met some nice people. Not very many pros. Not very many pros. Not very many pros.

    Cons

Training not the best stuck in a shop where a manger training you makes you feel stupid for asking a question and doesnt like that you ask about something you have only been shown once. Tells you to speed up whilst doing something thst they hsve been doing for years. and Asm speaks to managers like they are children. Too much to do in one day. Deliveries are forced in and you can not get on top of stock in the stock room due to massive deliveries of stock you already have loads of. A 39 hours week is advertised but it's more like 45 every week and this is not for the needs of the business this is expected of managers. You very rarely get a proper lunch break due to till calls and having to be visible and on site. And if you say anything you get told you are not managing your time effectively. A conference call every day to go over figures with the whole area is too much and in takes you away from the shop floor when there is only you and one other member of staff. If you don't hit your target for the day there can be a humiliating telling off in front off the whole area. The asm spoke to the whole area on a conference call like we were all 5 year old children. It felt degrading and basically told us we were not to talk to each other. Way to encourage team work.

    Advice to Management

Maybe try to see the bigger picture. Helping out staff instead of letting them sink. Think about how you are speaking to people and remember that extra time for the needs of the business is just that it shouldn't be every week. That is not for the needs of the business that is just excessive. Remember people have lives out side of work and don't want to always work an extra 6 hours every week. Yes when there is promo change ect but this is not every week. Remember respect goes along way.
