    Pros

Good overall company culture - the employees that work there are really great.

    Cons

Salary compensation is a joke. Also, the extra benefits that they rage about like the profit sharing has been in decline the last few years - 3-4% of a profit sharing based on your salary is just not enough to swing the dial when they could give you a 25-50% raise and only just begin to put you in the correct range for your job.

    Advice to Management

Pay your employees more soon or you will start to see some serious turnover. You can say you care about us but until you pay us a decent salary we just can't see that.

    Pros

Awesome perks and benefits. Vendors always have a promos/events going on. Someone is always willing to help out.

    Cons

The "Not bad/Not great" nailed it on the head. Way too many managers/team leads. Communication can be lost in translation. Very limited growth opportunity.

I have been working at ScanSource full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Great benefits and work/life balance. Company is invested in employee health & wellness. Most managers are empathetic if employee or family is ill and encourage time to recover. Very laid back environment where social interaction is encouraged. Variety of vendor sponsored events along with company socials functions. Takes more modern approach to company culture.

    Cons

Some departments can be very cliquish. Favored slackers easily hide among hard workers and ego-driven managers. Expectations are vague and ever-changing. Lack of training has become a glaring issue. Outside offices and support departments often feel unappreciated and ignored. Pay could be more competitive. Little opportunity for growth and advancement.

    Advice to Management

The management hierarchy is ridiculous! There are too many managers, team leads, & directors. Many hardworking unsung heroes are standing in the shadows of slackers charming their way to the top. Since last year's transition, certain inefficiencies have arisen with little corrective action from management. Training since the transition has been a joke with inconsistent, vague expectations and little accountability. Suggestions from "rank & file" are rarely considered unless they kiss up to management. Some individuals and even whole departments are not held accountable for their inaction, while others are expected to bear the responsibility. Continue this route, the company nicknamed the "Google of Greenville" will become another misguided greedy corporation with a revolving door. Consider making changes soon to remain a top employer.

    Pros

Paid well. Somewhat flexible for work-life balance -- understanding of prioritizing family first if children sick; encourages community volunteering participation.

    Cons

If hired as temp at least at this remote office, company waits 3 years before willing to hire permanent and doesn't bridge that employment-so the time is not recognized for becoming vested (happened with multiple temps). Management does not seem to care about enforcing good behavior at this remote office-especially when there's no onsite manager. When I came on board found out how unfairly the team members had been treated by company years before which caused a very negative view by the workers, rightly so their trust level was very low.

    Advice to Management

Pay more attention to employees at remote offices - their hard work should be honored not just with food or snacks occasionally but also with company-wide recognition; management should meet with employees consistently and privately to allow them to voice concerns and do something about those concerns. Stop being unfair to temps - if you wait to hire permanently until their third year, at least bridge the time they've given. Direct hires vest at 5 yrs, but temps are not vested for 8 yrs - that's completely unfair.

    Pros

There are no many reasons to work in this company. it might be a good place to learn after you get out of school in you want to be in the hardware distribution industry.

    Cons

I will suggest you avoid working for this company in Miami. It is just a warehouse with boxes to move and extremely poor management. Salaries are very low.

    Advice to Management

Value employees, and pay better salaries.

If you're young there are plenty kids right out of college which makes work fun. No long hours

    Cons

The pay is below average. If you aren't in sales or product management you reap none of the free benefits such as trips for performance or free food on a daily basis.

    Pros

International environment, some incentives for sales, location

    Cons

Poor consideration for employees, unfair treatment (some employees are allowed moire flexibility in terms of working hours than others. For sales people no possibility to grow, no real consistent reward for the hard work and not motivating commission scheme.
Promotions happen by nomination, not by a fair and transparent selection process (this is across different departments, not only sales)

    Advice to Management

In the long term is the people who work for you that will make a difference. Stop the blaming game and try to find ways to motivate people. Recruit a consultant to advice you
