    Pros

Sales reps are well taken care of.

    Cons

Low pay for non sales jobs. Too many managers looking out for themselves.

    Advice to Management

Look at your support staff as much as sales.

    Pros

The people here in general are nice to work with.

    Cons

If you are hired as a Temp, it will be years before you are hired permanently, if at all..

    Advice to Management

If you are going to keep hiring long term temps, make some provisions to offer some benefits.

    Pros

There is room and opportunity to advance. Team members care about each other and spend time outside of work together. Great department for a first job after school with a chance to grow and advance your skill set

    Cons

Upper management at times seems deaf to the reasons that morale is low in the department and they are hesitant to change and don't take ownership for being part of the problem and cast blame elsewhere

    Advice to Management

Listen to the team and take an honest look at each position and person as that is the only way to have sustainable change and turn the department around

I have been working at ScanSource full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The all inclusive facility is nice considering the amount of time you're expected to put in to be somewhat successful.

    Cons

Hard work doesn't always pay off. There are too many big personalities and the politics are too hard to navigate. Work hard play hard is the motto but it's more work hard and less and less play hard.

I have been working at ScanSource full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Some of the divisions communicate more than others. Of the people you will work with, 90% are very nice, 50% are helpful. You can be quite frank with management. The company is not against having fun while you work.

    Cons

The divisions within ScanSource operate differently from each other. It's difficult to feel like the company is "one" as a whole. Most executive decisions are based on the company being publicly traded. This further disconnects the company from their people but varies depending on the division and your physical location as an employee. Employee training varies greatly as well. In my division in particular, terrible and extremely lacking unfortunately.

    Advice to Management

Do not exclude smaller divisions or teams from key training or company events. If you cannot be more upfront with the employees on company/division direction decisions, be prepared to have good employees seek elsewhere. Some divisions obtain their quarterly goals 3 weeks before quarter-end. The result is poor compensation for the employee who could not better prepare for expectations.

    Pros

    Cons

    Advice to Management

To keep good employees compensate them to match the market and hire from within
