I have been working at Scandinavian Designs full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Family owned business that has been around for a long time. Recently started selling online, so lots of new opportunities opening up lately.

    Cons

Things have been done the same way for a long time, so it's hard to improve technology as processes overnight.

I have been working at Scandinavian Designs full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Coworkers are mostly nice and easy going. Sales associates try to please customers and go beyond. Recently have added better computers and work apps that make work/ communication easier.

    Cons

employees are underpaid based on everything they do for the customers and store operations. Very short career ladder. Directors seem disconnected from stores.

    Advice to Management

Give raises to dedicated employees. Provide the same paid holidays that corporate employees get. Increase communication and transparency between store and HQ. Invest in technology.

The design programs are emaculate. The staff is like a family compared to what other companies have. Trust is of the essence and you have alot of it here.

    Cons

The only downside is that I have to go to another company just to be at yhe salary I desire.

    Advice to Management

I have been working at Scandinavian Designs full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    -Relaxed selling environment
-A Lot of Traffic to the Stores

    Cons

    -4% Commission
-Took away all of the benefits
-Cannot move up if you don't have a degree (I do but some very qualified people are stuck)
-Once you hit Store Manager your stuck.. You will NOT move up They joke about a skeleton crew in upper management and they are not kidding.
    - You have to sell $1,000,000 to make $40,000 and if you do you can either expect a cheap watch or $500 gift certificate to their store.
    - Schedule

    Advice to Management

Give the employees back their benefits.
4% is just disgusting they deserve a raise
