I have been working at Schindler full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Managers seem to care and focus on employee development. If you play your cards right, you will make over $200k. Sales commission plans have a lot of opportunities to make good money. Customers don’t come first, employees come first All the employees seem to get along in the Charlotte office Culture is first class. Really enjoy going to work All employees get company cars

    Cons

HQ at times don’t seem to be held accountable P&L targets can be unrealistic Supply chain is a mess Vehicles are driven beyond their life

I worked at Schindler full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Good salary, flexible schedule, good training, some really good people at local level

    Cons

It seems great on the surface but once you are hired you quickly learn this is a poorly managed company that cares very little for the customer or their employees. The hiring strategy of only hiring inexperienced MBA’s who do not understand the business is destroying the good reputation of this company. They do not hire or promote women from within. If you look at the corporate chart there is not a single woman in upper management. Nor will they ever give an opportunity to one. If you know someone or are related to someone or happen to come from the company of choice that they currently want people from, you might have a chance. It does not matter whether you are qualified or not. It’s a biased and sexist environment and only the favorites do well. If you’re a woman doubly forget it.
