    Pros

I really cannot think of any Pros.

    Cons

Constantly changing policy, HR is allowed to make any decisions even if they go against company policy or your training! Worked there for 23 years including the years at Cameron when schlumberger purchased Cameron, loved working for Cameron but everything changed at the purchase ,

    Advice to Management

You’re employees are best asset, treat them like humans not just numbers to played like so many toys!

I worked at Schlumberger full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Can gain a great deal of experience in a wide variety of systems, if you easily bend where the wind blows.

    Cons

The personnel churn is not well managed, despite personnel movement being one of the things the company encourages. A great deal of time and effort is wasted on initiatives that are thrown out when a leader changes.

    Advice to Management

For a company that is so process oriented, seems as if there could be more process surrounding hand-off from person to person as roles/jobs change.

I worked at Schlumberger full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Large company, tons of opportunities, very diverse, very international, dynamic- always changing and innovating, fast paced

    Cons

Don’t let the field down! When the price of oil drops, so too lots of jobs drop and had to go back to suppliers negotiating massive “rebates”. Was remarkably uncomfortable and felt disingenuous since we agreed to pay whatever amount and then asked to not pay that amount despite contracts in place.

    Advice to Management

    Clear expectations are good.
