This is a smaller company which is run by the larger parent company in Germany. It has open workspace and the employees are very helpful. The internship also pays pretty well for part time work.
They are a little unorganized on getting work started for interns. But i think this maybe due to the small size of the company in the US.
I have been working at Schmalz as an intern (Less than a year)
Open office environment, flat management structure. Is a subsidiary of Schmalz parent company in Germany, but has great autonomy and small size. Many young professionals that switches between many job functions as needed. Fast advancement and great training program that teaches all aspects of how the company works. Company open to suggestions from employees. Great employee retention, friendly coworkers
Is mainly component/subsystem supplier, so knowledge gained is in a very specific field. Very sales driven and high workload. Some processes are not as mature due to limited resources.
Family oriented company Great product line Great product pipeline
Limited resources due to size
