I have been working at Schneider Electric full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

401k, health reimbursement, good people to work with if not upper management level, training courses.

    Cons

Upper management is also overseeing and micromanaging the situation. There is no trust in there employees and will be continuously checked up on. Never left to complete tasks before moving on the the next job assignments. Parts are always a issue in all the facilities. Hard to deal with suppliers due to supply chain planning always searching for orders and volume due to not being constant work.

    Advice to Management

Listen to the employees and people that surround your. Do not micromanage

I have been working at Schneider Electric full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Decent pay and benefits. Schneider is a leader in the industry and very well respected within the business sectors they are involved.

    Cons

Change in leadership within Global Supply Chain has caused tremendous turmoil with total disregard to employees and their future. The direction and future looks very bleak at best.

    Advice to Management

Learn from the past, value your employees

I have been working at Schneider Electric full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Stock purchase options, good insurance, remote work, 401k, in-company transfer options

    Cons

No support when stuff hits the fan. Only raises given in years are for cost of living inflation (pennies each year). No upwards mobility.

    Advice to Management

    Stick up for your people!

    "Company built through forceful acquisitions"

Former Employee - National Account Manager in Tualatin, OR

    Pros

Not much is expected of the employees. If you are looking for stability in your day to day, this place is for you! Complacency thrives here!

    Cons

Complacency thrives here. The company is way too conservative. They react rather than innovate. The company has way too many processes in place to make an impact or come up with fresh ideas. EVERY action requires meetings after meetings

    Advice to Management

Don't be afraid to fail. The one good idea could propel you to the top. Evaluate the employees that have been there for way too long and get rid of the non-performers

    "Awful experience"

I have been working at Schneider Electric full-time

    Pros

It is a shame because everyone I communicated with outside the department I worked for were helpful and understanding to the new learner process. They provided more support that my actual department did.

A lot of fantastic engineers that know their stuff and know what a real sales person should be.

    Cons

The department I worked for were delusional on what a team looks like or how it should work and about sales in general. You are hazed if you do not fit into they're generic old school view of what a sales person should be - despite building a good repertoire with customers and employees outside the office.

It was a very lad environment and no room for women, with sexist comments and nasty comments made daily. I was basically bullied out of the job.

    Advice to Management

Stop being a bully and encouraging nasty, two faced behaviour within your team - being a manager is not about getting your team to kiss up to you, but actually managing people and helping them developed. Sending them on two hour technical courses does not prepare anyone for the role and also it is impossible to learn everything about the company within a few months.

Advice to upper management, pay attention to who you put in powerful positions and what they are actually doing in them.
