I worked at Schneider (Less than a year)

    Pros

Nothing. This company is all about lies.

    Cons

Everything!!! This company does nothing but lies to there drivers. The pay they say you will make is FALSE. I've been a driver for over 24 years and I left after just 30 days, the fastest ever. There Sign On Bonus is not a bonus, it is bribe money then shove a knife in your back. Stay away from this company!!!!!!!

    Advice to Management

STOP YOUR DAMN LIES TO YOUR DRIVERS!!!!

    I worked at Schneider full-time

    Pros

They hire brand new drivers and train them.

    Cons

They have trucks that can run 65 but you can only do 62. If you run over 62 for to long they will not pay you a bonus. If you run late you. Lose your bonus. Catch 22 system if you dedicated in heavy traffic. In 4 months only got bonus 1 time. They you like dirt. Pay is low and you will work alo 14. Hrs everyday 600 a week take home if you are lucky with out bonus pay. Skip this job and save a headache.

    Advice to Management

You are never to big to fail. Treat good drivers well and pay them fair and your safety score improve.

I worked at Schneider full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Bosses are awesome and always willing to help

    Cons

Hours are long, high stress environment, sales quotas are difficult to reach and they will not hesitate to terminate you if you are not hitting sales quotas. The pay is terrible and you are not compensated for working overtime. Vast majority of people have been working here for a year or less. This was by far the worst job I've ever had. Would not recommend to a friend.

I have been working at Schneider full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

I get to go over the road with my husband

    Cons

-We are getting less then 500 miles a load per day.
     - was told if we work 12 days we get 2 days off and so on...only to find out its not true.
(Have to request days off and only if it's not filled up)
When ask DBL we aren't getting any miles, she tells us it's a machine error but it's fix and yet still less then 500 miles per day.

    Advice to Management

Don't say one thing and do another

    Pros

Some helpful personnel at headquarters in Green Bay and that's where it ends.

    Cons

    Where do I begin?

Complete lack of training. (This is a big one!!!)
No support from management. (#2 for sure)
Deadlines dropped in your lap last minute.
    Horrible work/life balance.
Very low pay for the hours, stress, and responsibility given to you.
Disorganized and chaotic work structure and environment.
Drivers will cuss and chew you out for everything, even though it's not your fault.
Major lack of respect for personnel.
Company core value are not valued or followed.
Treatment of drivers and maintenance of equipment is poor at best. (outdated fleet and assets)

I could go on, but I'll leave it at that, you get the picture.

(I've been in logistics/transportation for over 15 years with a few other employers - Schneider was truly awful and left shortly after)

    Advice to Management

None, I'll bite my tongue or rather chew sharp glass shards then proceed to gargle with salt water.

    Pros

    Stable company stable work load.

    Cons

Sitting all the time wait on phone usually 40 min or longer.Average 40 to 45,000 a year for veteran drivers. In almost every aspect for drivers.I think everyone makes more money than there drivers do.

    Advice to Management

The wait times on phone calls are to long if your a local driver you can't wait 40 min just for someone to answer the phone drivers are trying to make money not sit this is not truck driving.
Don't advertise 60,000 a year and drivers average 40,000 with a select few making 60,000.
